I love them both, won't ever try to pit them against one another. The foundation was set by Eddie D & Bill Walsh.

Eddie D have the vision and Bill Walsh was a part of that vision. Together they created camelot, designed strategies that changed the game! Even when walsh retired we still won 2 more super bowls, but more importantly we haven't won one since Eddie D left.

There is no Walsh without Eddie D, & there is no Eddie D without Bill Walsh.

Only half of that is remotely true. Walsh would've succeeded anywhere.

How'd Eddie vision do before Bill?

How's Jerry's vision done since Jimmy?

Yea you did

No.i didn't. The people who came up with the cure did.
You have facilitated the investment that created the opportunity to deliver on someone's promise.

Before Eddie De Bartolo came along. Bill Walsh was considered a snobby outcast who was out of the NFL and coaching at Stanford College.

Bill had already had a falling out with his long time mentor Paul Brown and was considered too crazy to touch by other NFL brass.

The "West Coast offense" was considered a joke in NFL circles.

Without Eddie De Bartolo, Bill Walsh never ever gets the chance to coach in the NFL.

An opportunity. To pretend an opportunity is the same as actually achieving something is ridiculous. They aren't remotely equal.

Not remotely true. Walsh absolutely would've gotten an opportunity.

Yes. Thats what my last post explains.

No Eddie De Bartolo means No Bill Walsh.

And you are absolutely wrong. To suggest Bill Walsh would've never gotten a shot in the NFL is complete lunacy.

Before Eddie De Bartolo brought Bill Walsh to the San Francisco 49ers, People like Paul Brown, Don Shula, Joe Robbie and some others were all saying that Bill Waish was a smart guy, but he wasn't head coach material … he may not have the psychological makeup and strength to last at the head position.

When Walsh went into the Pro Football Hall of Fame five years after ending his 10-year run as head coach, he picked DeBartolo to present him.

When Walsh was near the end of his battle with leukemia in 2007, DeBartolo was among those Walsh called to his bedside.

So, they hardly hated each other.

Never said he hated him. Just would've never worked for him again.

Walsh would've gotten a shot in the NFL. Eddie needed Walsh.

Frankly Bill was cooked as coach after 10 years due to his own high standards and tough nature.

Bill was a lot harder on himself than Eddie ever was.

Look who blew a huge lead in the playoffs when they don't have Zebras and a Mini Goat saving them.

Who hired Bill Walsh to do those things?

The guy who signed the checks. Money well spent.

If I write a check and that money helps find the cure for cancer I didn't actually cure the cancer.

Yea you did

wtf lol
