Bill was a lot harder on himself than Eddie ever was.

Yet went back to coaching what 3 years later?

At Stanford College, not in the NFL.

Not quite the same thing.

Sign me up.

Kyle is solely responsible for every bad thing that as ever happened to this organization
all the good is just luck

Kyle, the jimmy G of head coaches

Kyle with Jimmy 68% winning percentage
Kyle without Jimmy 44%
Since Jimmy left 62%

You hate one guy, make excuse for the other.

(quick math... I could be percentage or two off but not by much)

Kyle failed with Jimmy.
He failed with Trey.
He will likely fail with Brock.

Gladly this will be strike 3. No way Jed gives him a leash to screw it up with a 4th quarterback. This will be an awful season in 2025. But in the long run, the clown gets tossed and we rebuild bigger and better in 2026.

This guy gets it. Kyle still worth assets this year. After next year he will be worth nothing and get fired.

There's barely any illusionary media magic left. Get some return before the facade is over...

Didn't say it was. But if you are cooked you are done completely. He wasn't cooked

i also saw interviews where he said he regretted walking away.

Stop making s**t up.
Gonna be a fun thread with half of the posters rooting hard for massive failure all 2025.

I am not making s**t up, we were behind by the time Kyle dialled up this play.

Should have been done before when we were way ahead.

And not just one of these plays either.

Jimmy G should have done this several times.

Stop making s**t up.

This was a dumbass play call even if he completes it.

Your going to give mahomes the ball back with 1:35

You think he can't get at least a fg with that much time left?

How about methodically use all the clock to get down there and then score and win a SB.

Instead we got dumbass play calls like this that even if the low percentage play was a completion we still lose.

Freaking PTSD...

Another shanahan classic choke that would have happened a minute and a half later...

Rooting doesn't mean s**t. No one roots for their team to lose. It's just a scape goat for Shanahan's fan club to project their anger once he fails again. Instead of pointing your fingers at him for being an utter failure for this franchise, you guys will just direct your anger at us, as if us "rooting" was the cause behind this team's downfall. This team had overplayed the Shanahan card. We're way over his tenure here. He should've been fired after the collapse in the Rams NFCC game. Instead he was given a leash because Jed like some of the fans have come to accept mediocrity as some modicum of success. It's pathetic. Just one more year then this thread move to NFL Talk to rot.

4 nfc title appearances in 5 years is absolutely not utter failure or mediocrity

You clearly want him fired so yes you will absolutely be rooting for them to lose. If they win 10 or more he isn't getting fired so you wouldn't be getting what you want.

Bill Walsh regretted walking away from the San Francisco 49ers, Eddie D or no Eddie D.

Eddie D wasn't the determining factor there.

it was the pressure that Bill put on himself.

So Eddie Ds pressure was the determining factor for Walsh success but not a determining factor in him walking away.

As Phoenix said Eddie is a spoiled rich boy without Bill. Bill would've been a HoF coach wherever he went without Eddie.

Welcome to the discussion BRG and yes, clock management by Kyle Shannahan has been a problem since Moses was a boy.

Jimmy G was never really used correctly by Kyle Shanahan

And now the same thing is happening to Brock Purdy.

It's the pattern from the ego maniacal, power lustful, tyrannical tyrant named Kyle Shannahan.

Not true.

The chemistry between Eddie and Bill was magnificent and pure.

Eddie loved the 49ers

He was the first person to appoint Bill Walsh as head coach when Bill had been overlooked many times.

Bill named Eddie to put him into the NFL Hall of Fame.

Eddie was called by Bill to his death bed so they could talk one last time before he died.

Bill was the greatest coach ever.

But not before he met Eddie.

Eddie gave Bill the chance.

You are making s**t up. Kyle is not instructing players to not try and score, that's just an asinine statement.
