I'll take his one SB win over 2 SB losses any day. I'll take his lone SB win a decade ago over our recent TWO Super Bowl losses any day. Putting Super Bowls aside, there is no difference between a coach that keeps losing in the Wildard game vs one that loses in the NFCC game.
or are you going to actually sit there and tell us that Kyle is a better coach because at least he loses further along on the playoffs ?
because he wins MORE playoff games? yeah, I think that's better than winning less.

Then you and I just differ in our opinions of success. I think storied franchises like SF and Pittsburgh use titles as a measuring stick when defining legacy. Teams like Detroit Minnesota Buffalo…yea sure number of playoff wins before losing out on the ultimate prize may be good enough for them.
Tomlin has a ring. Shanahan has not. If Shanahan had won in 2019 (like he should have) or in 2023 (like he should have), I don't think any of the guys that want him out would be arguing otherwise. His entire career can be defined as a cluster of 'coulda, woulda, shoulda' and at this point it's become irritating.
but anyways. like I've said, I think 2025 will be the end of the Shanahan era. This run it back bs that he keeps selling (and fans keep buying into) is gonna backfire worse than it did this year. He's about to sink the Titanic, and not even Saleh's nostalgic presence is going to save us from sinking.
Hopefully there are some good candidates available next offseason to start a new era of 49er football

Shanny needs to bring home a championship pretty soon, now. The fan base is starting to really grow impatient.

Ah I see, we're at that point where we randomly downplay someone else... to deflect/defend/prop up Kyle.
I'll just say, what do you think the 2024 Kyle would have been able to do with the 2024 Steelers... in comparison to what Kyle did with the 2024 9ers Roster? It's not like the team was playing consistent when had Aiyuk, Trent, etc.
What do you think Tomlin would have done with the 2024 49ers? Would he have made the playoffs in the NFC West? I mean the AFC North seems waaay tougher. In our Super Bowl season in 2023 we lost to everyone else in the Steelers' division. Blown out at home by the Ravens and Bengals. Lost to the Browns, who had Phillip Walker at QB? PHILLIP F'n WALKER 🙃! But yes we did blow out Kenny Pickett, lol, and the Steelers to start the season. So kudos to Kyle for that.
So I don't think it's an easy thing to say Kyle >>>>>>>>>>> over Tomlin.
As far as Tomlin being the Head Coach for so long and not getting fired.. well he has found a way to still have winning seasons in that tough division, but yall know I'm not about staying still and hoping for the best. So yeah I would have moved on, if he was being stubborn with QBs. Though I'm curious to see what he can do with a legit QB again.
He has the personality to handle crazy ass Aaron Rodgers... maybe Tomlin being traded to the Jets would be good for both teams. I don't think Lawrence on the Jaguars is done done, like some believe. Maybe Tomlin over there can work. Or maybe the Steelers can trade for Lawrence.
You need a QB in this league to get far. Crazy to think some coaches were able to get to the Super Bowl with Rex Grossman, Trent Dilfer, 2013 version of Payton Manning.

Kyle is not on the same level of Tomlin. MT has a ring and has been a successful head coach with his initial team for almost 20 years!
He won a SB early in his career which showed his head coaching skills. He has lost a lot of great players and coaches along the way and yet he is still getting his team to the playoffs every year.
Our boy wonder is still learning the rules (SB overtime & process for hiring a coordinator). Lost a few of his coaches and can't seem to get it right.

Uh oh. Sean Payton is 0-8 in the playoffs when trailing at halftime. I guess he is a choker/bad playcaller like Kyle………nope
