How many of those wins came with Alex Smith in KC?

I think 1, not entirely sure because that's Tomlins last playoff win.
Watching the Tampa Bay v Washington game, Baker Mayfield Smith is a lot like Kyle Shannahan.

He actually gets in the way of the team winning.

At two of the most crucial calls of the season including a 3rd and 1 when Tampa looked like they were walking the ball into the end zone, Baker Smith had massive brain fades like he couldn't even execute the most obvious skills.

That is what happens to Kyle in Superbowls at different stages.

lol A+ for effort
Not if you have watched Baker Mayfield Smith before.

Some guys have poise and style under pressure, infact they play better the more pressure there is..

But Baker Mayfield Smith just showed us what the definiation of choke is.

That play on 3rd and 1 in the last quarter, it looked like he lost the ability of his mental facilities and was playing statue instead of running the play.

I saw a meme that said Dan Quinn was HC of the Falcons for 5 years, took the falcons to the SB, got fired by the falcons, served 3 years as DC for the cowboys, got hired by Washington as HC, won a playoff game for the commanders before Tomlin won his last playoff game lulz

What has Tomlin done, but a few playoff wins early then a bunch of first round exits ever since. I don't know, maybe my history is wrong.

Just won a Super Bowl. No biggy. Shanahan has done more…

He's never had a losing season, even when dealing with QB injuries. 🤷🏾‍♂

2007 - (10-7) - WC (L) vs Jacksonville
2008 - (12-4) - Div. Rd. (W) vs SD; AFCCG (W) vs. Baltimore; SB (W) vs. Arizona
2009 - (9-7) - Missed Playoffs
2010 - (12-4) - Div. Rd. (W) vs. Baltimore; AFCCG (W) vs. NYJ; SB (L) vs. GB
2011 - (12-4) - Div. Rd. (OTL) vs. Denver
2012 - (8-8) - Missed Playoffs
2013 - (8-8) - Missed Playoffs
2014 - (11-5) - WC (L) vs. Baltimore
2015 - (10-6) - WC (W) vs. Cincinnati; Div. Rd. (L) vs. Denver
2016 - (11-5) - WC (W) vs. Miami; Div. Rd. (W) vs. KC; AFCCG (L) vs. NE
2017 - (13-3) - Div. Rd. (L) vs. Jacksonville
2018 - (9-6-1) - Missed Playoffs
2019 - (8-8) - Missed Playoffs
2020 - (12-4) - WC (L) vs. Cleveland
2021 - (9-7-1) - WC (L) vs. KC
2022 - (9-8) - Missed Playoffs
2023 - (10-7) - WC (L) vs. Buffalo
2024 - (10-7) - WC (L) vs. Baltimore

His starting QBs over those years...

Ben Roethlisberger (2007-2021)
Charlie Batch (2007-2012)
Dennis Dixon (2008-2010)
Byron Leftwich (2008, 2010-2012)
Michael Vick (2015)
Landry Jones (2015-2017)
Mason Rudolph (2019-2023)
Devlin Hodges (2019)
Mitchell Trubisky (2022-2023)
Kenny Pickett (2022-2023)
Russell Wilson (2024)
Justin Fields (2024)

Like I said before, I'd blame him more for settling for bad to mediocre QBs. But it's not like good, to great, starting QBs become available. So best bet is to find one in the draft.

Yah too bad Shanahan couldn't inherit a HOF QB who already won a Super Bowl. What has Tomlin done without Ben Roethlisberger?

Then you and I just differ in our opinions of success. I think storied franchises like SF and Pittsburgh use titles as a measuring stick when defining legacy. Teams like Detroit Minnesota Buffalo…yea sure number of playoff wins before losing out on the ultimate prize may be good enough for them.

Tomlin has a ring. Shanahan has not. If Shanahan had won in 2019 (like he should have) or in 2023 (like he should have), I don't think any of the guys that want him out would be arguing otherwise. His entire career can be defined as a cluster of 'coulda, woulda, shoulda' and at this point it's become irritating.

but anyways. like I've said, I think 2025 will be the end of the Shanahan era. This run it back bs that he keeps selling (and fans keep buying into) is gonna backfire worse than it did this year. He's about to sink the Titanic, and not even Saleh's nostalgic presence is going to save us from sinking.

Hopefully there are some good candidates available next offseason to start a new era of 49er football

Why you including Detroit in there, bruh? They've never lost a Super Bowl! By your logic that makes them a GOAT franchise!
