Tomlin's been the HC for how long and he has the same amount of playoff wins as Kyle and McVay? That's with prime Big Ben?

A little trivia question:

Who is the only HC on that list who has never won a Super Bowl?

Who cares about SBs from over 15 yrs ago? You gonna tell me what your MySpace song was or who won the 2nd yr in American Idol too 🤣

I think he tried to morph into the drop back quickly and early this season, but the personnel wasn't a match (o line). It was refreshing to hear him say we must always evolve in his closing presser, basically admitting some of the things we observed. He can be a stubborn mofo, but I dont think its to the point of stupidity. He realizes what's going on with his offense league wide.

The vibe I get is that Kyle is more than willing to change his offensive approach - in the offseason when it can be practiced in the training camps and preseason. Midseason is another thing entirely. Even then, he's changed his approach midseason three times. 1. In 2017 when Garoppolo came over. Because Jimmy G had limited time with the playbook he relied on far less of the playbook than he had with Hoyer/Beathard. 2. In 2021 when he adjusted to his low RB depth with Deebo as the Wideback. 3. 2022 when acquiring CMC opened up the playbook again like they had with the Mostert/Breida combo in 2019.

Kyle's always been a Niner, it will be sweet when they finally get over the hump.

no one remembers or cares about s**t from over 15 yrs ago. Tomlin wouldn't have a SB win if James Harrison didn't pick 6 Warner at the GL right before halftime. But you know that was all Tomlin! Lol

i think you are confused here. He didn't say who cares about a SB, he's saying who cares about how long ago it was

Do you go around pounding your chest about how we won 30 years ago.. it sure doesn't show it here with your posts

Okay. We've won five Super Bowls! Wee!!

Oh wait, let me guess, is that somehow different and we're not allowed to brag about those? Interesting narrative change.
I think the rule is fairly simple:

When you're comparing Kyle to Sean McVay, go for it. Go ahead and brag about that Super Bowl win. It was only three years ago.

Comparing Kyle to Tomlin, Harbaugh, Payton and McCarthy and saying Kyle sucks just because they've all won a Super Bowl? That's a bit different. They all won their Super Bowl 5+ years before Kyle even became a HC and have done jack squat since then. None of them have even made it back to the Super Bowl in the last 12 years, and IIRC each of them have only made one conference championship appearance in the last 12 years too.

The RULE should be you can compare Kyle to other coaches… for what they've done from 2017 to today. That's when Kyle started coaching so everything in that era is fair game.

People can't brag about Tomlin's Super Bowl from February 2009 when we're comparing him to Kyle who has only been a coach for 8 seasons. That's ridiculous. Are we just punishing Kyle for not becoming a coach sooner, now?
