I love all this talk about the Commanders being so agressive on fourth down. Let's not forget that the Lions D was not in his best shape and wasn't really good. And it sure helps when the opponent put 12 players on the field on fourth down and nobody is calling timeout.

What killed the Lions wasn't so much the Commanders. It was all their mistakes. Goff's fumble and interceptions, Ben Johnson thinking it was a clever idea to put the ball in Jameson Williams's hands, the 12 players on fourth and two.
In a match like that against a tough, well coached opponent, you can't expect winning the game by making so many stupid plays.
Makes you appreciate Kyle even more

That was the defense saving Kyle's ass the majority of those games. Kyle's trusted Jimmy G was doing everything he can to turnover the ball at the worse times the late in that season and the first few games in the playoffs.

So I guess we got a glimpse this season of how a Kyle coached team can look with no DC saving his ass. He better choose wisely this offseason.

So are Ben Johnson / Campbell still the GOATs or nah
More like the CHOKES

Lions should clean house. Back to back choke jobs by Dan, Ben and Aaron. Defense couldn't generate a single sack coupled with an offense that had 5 turnovers and 5 penalties in this game, that's all on the coaching staff, completely undisciplined and totally unprepared.

Earned themselves a #1 seed and got one and done'd by a lowly 6 seed...embarrassing AF.
Looking at the NFC, the Eagles, Rams, Lions and Washinton Commanders are better teams than us now.

The Vikings always beat us at their home.

Seattle and Arizona we tend to split games with.

So it is a long road back for an injury riddled team like us.

Kyle and John really have to nail the draft and free agency.

lol, i never knew you were this obtuse in the game of football

Kyle chose more times than not to go Defense heavy.. now you pretend he had nothing to do with that

And you want to add this year as some measuring stick for offense.. what a hater lol
Wrong thread

Two things can be true at the same time: (1) Shanahan has proven he's an offensive genius and should have job security for the foreseeable future; and (2) he has not called a good season. Even when healthy, this team has not looked good, especially in the redzone and that's partly Shanahan.
I don't know why but while watching the Rams-Eagles game they showed that State Farm commercial with Andy Reid saying fumbleruski. For some reason I tried to imagine Kyle doing that commercial. No way. Their personalities are so different there's no way Kyle could pull that off.

There is a third thing that is also true unfortunately: (3) Kyle takes too long to address concerns. OL is a great example.
Yes, Kyle has left the O Line under resourced for far too long. It has cost us heavily. Kyle Shannahan reminds me a lot of Andy Reid when he was with the Eagles. Brilliant offensive mind who can't escape his own shortcomings.

Yes, because we have the same built up expectations as Lions fans.

Jesus Christ.

They will be calling for his head if they continue to lose in the playoffs. Especially while they still have that talent.

Not sure who you're arguing here
LIONS are not used to winning, the fans will be patient... for the next 2 years at least..
Kyle Shanahan is great with the X's and O's. One of the best, in fact. But the difference between Kyle Shanahan and a dollar, is that you can get four quarters out of a dollar.

That is not true, they are already acting entitled.

plus they can lose both of their coordinators this offseason
