More like the CHOKES

Lions should clean house. Back to back choke jobs by Dan, Ben and Aaron. Defense couldn't generate a single sack coupled with an offense that had 5 turnovers and 5 penalties in this game, that's all on the coaching staff, completely undisciplined and totally unprepared.

Earned themselves a #1 seed and got one and done'd by a lowly 6 seed...embarrassing AF.

Add John Harbaugh to the list! Given top end defenses for years. Top running games and a multiple time MVP QB…constantly choking in the playoffs.

I watched the game with some friends from Baltimore last night, they wanted everyone fired. Guess a SB from over a decade ago doesn't mean much.

Jesus Christ.

They will be calling for his head if they continue to lose in the playoffs. Especially while they still have that talent.

What expectations? Why are there's any different? Because SF was good in the late 80s early 90s? lol please
The Lions don't have a coaching problem. They had enough defensive players on the IR to field an entire defensive squad with enough players to provide depth. They managed to secure the 1 seed despite injuries. The offense carried them as far as they could go. Sound familiar?

IR LIST:
Michael Badgley, PK (hamstring)Derrick Barnes, LB (knee)John Cominsky, DE (knee)Carlton Davis III, CB (jaw)Marcus Davenport, DE (triceps)Khalil Dorsey, CB (ankle)Connor Galvin, OT (knee)Antoine Green, WR (concussion)Aidan Hutchinson, DE (leg)Nate Lynn, DE (shoulder)Alim McNeill, DT (knee)Emmanuel Moseley, CB (NFI)Netane Muti, OG (shoulder)Kyle Peko, DT (pectoral)Ennis Rakestraw Jr., CB (hamstring/illness).

The lions coaching staff milked every once from the backups. With that many players out you need luck and an offensive that plays perfect on nearly every drive. 5 turnovers is far from perfect l. So they lost. They did not choke. Ben Johnson has a bright future ahead of him. The lions will be fine and have many more deep runs ahead of them. They are young and packed with talent. We need to build a roster that can compete with them, rams, and commanders.

While they had a ton injuries…acting like all those guys missing were legit good starting players is simply not true. Yes you got your hutch McNeill guys…after that it's not a bunch of huge different makers imo. Now they're gonna be losing their backbone at OC/DC.

the lions don't have a coaching issue as much as SF doesn't have a coaching issue. That's mainly what people are pointing out. We run around here calling everyone chokers. Yet you got Campbell and Co "choking" away two top end seasons. Now they're gonna be losing a lot of their coaching staff. Who knows what happens there going forward.

John harbs once again doesn't show up in the playoffs with a great roster and MVP QB. No one cares about a Joe Flacco hot run in the playoffs anymore. That was over a decade ago. Tomlin same s**t, he's the one static thing that's been there since 2007 and it's been a whole bunch of "choking" outside of his first yr there with someone else's team.

People expecting another dynasty run are going to continue to be perpetually disappointed. Bill Walsh and Joe Montana aren't coming back, the conditions that made that dynasty run possible in the first place aren't coming back. Its no more realistic than Cowboys fans expecting another Jimmy Johnson run or Patriots fans that are going to be waiting on another Belichick/Brady dynasty.

The choke argument, at least when I have used it, refers to blown Super Bowls and blown leads in 4th q. Assigning the choke label to coaches simply because they don't win playoff games regardless of all the factors that impact success is retaliatory against anyone who has criticized Kyle. I would argue that we have more of a coaching problem than the lions. Set aside Kyle. We are heading for our 3rd DC in as many years. We have no OC, no STC.

Head to head, Kyle is a much better coach than Dan Campbell. There is no question about it but I would argue Dan C is getting better in the role while Kyle has stalled. Kyle will have plenty of opportunities to shed the choker label. Lets hope that happens sooner rather than later.
Losing by 2 TD's to a team you were supposed to beat is a much bigger choke then blowing leads to teams at least as good if not better than your own.

Lions choked far bigger on Saturday then they did in last years NFC title game.

Imagine us having the 1 seed and be one and done in the playoffs…I'm sure it would be pleasant in here lol

Injuries aside, that was the exact team that suffocated the Vikings offense two weeks prior. That said, the Rams did the same thinng. Maybe Vikings were way overrrated.

Maybe?, this whole season was a joke. All these teams are ass at a time where we had to get hit with maybe the worst luck in every way

To add on top of that guys bad take, imagine saying our coaching issues are worse when they could lose both coordinators. WTF Campbell going to do, bite knee caps?

Fans always over react. Win and the team is great. Lose and they suck. That's the way most fans are now.
All the Lion fans here quiet af today lol

Exactly. I'm so tired of hearing how SF is supposed to be above other teams because of what happened 30+ yrs ago.

Unless you have that generational/HOF level QB, having a dynasty level run is impossible. Especially in today's game.
