Never once did you argue this in 2021. You can say all you want you wanted Fields over Lance but you weren't in favor of the move no matter the QB. But now all.of the sudden you would be.

It's clear to all of us why the change of heart.

So you're upset the coach said the best option we have as our QB is our QB1. Kyle may draft a QB in this draft and find the next franchise QB it's very unlikely we get a stud QB but it could happen. At least we didn't decide to keep or start Sam Darnold who completely choked in the playoffs and reminded everyone why he's a back up. Right? Who would ever argue for Sam Darnold right?

maybe that's the highlight of the year. we win 6 games, we don't qualify for playoffs, not even close. we even lose to darnold, but there is some joy in seeing others fail. that is known as schadenfreude.

And complaining about a problem without actually having a solution is called whining. Congrats earned that 49er fan nickname.
What would help the 49ers is if Burford or Bartch could take over the left guard spot. Then they can focus on upgrading at centre and RT.

Mckivitz wasn't a disaster at RT but he should be the backup swing tackle competing with Moore.

Banks is too up and down and seems to only play well next to Williams. Burford and Bartch played well next to backups.

Brendel is the one that must go. He single handedly kills drives, gets overwhelmed physically and on any defensive stunt.

It should not be lost that we "waste" sometimes up to 3 offensive skill positions to assist in blocking 2 TEs and a FB. That leaves just 2 players on the field the opposition need to worry about.

We need to start thinking of Williams replacement too I be ok with grabbing two tackles one to play rt and one we can move inside to guard while he learns off Williams.

I'd like to see 2 offensive lineman in the first 3 rounds of quality....no more projects later because we have plenty of those already.

Go find the best centre available in free agency.

The Best free agent centre for me is likely Andrew Dalman from the Atlanta Falcons.

Coleman Shelton from da Chicago Bears is one I'd be ok with but his 29 years old.

Very real change Fields is the starting QB for Pittsburgh next year. Who knows what he would of done for the 49ers, but he was the QB Shanahan thought Lance would be.
The issue is centre above everything. So many plays are one block away from big gains and the film usually shows its Brendel.

I wouldn't be averse to 2 tackles in the draft...but get studs not projects. We also need another big mountain at dt.

You'd love to know what goes through Kyle Shanahan's head sometimes...but good news on all fronts.

Jets ST Boyer has been hired. They were 4th in kick off coverage, 3rd in kick off returns, 15th in punt coverage and 30th in punt returns.

They were ranked 18th overall, and honestly we don't need to be brilliant - just competent that doesn't give the ball up in key moments.

Wonder if Boyer is a Salah recommendation. Most likely.
It's exactly thirty years since the San Francisco 49ers last won a Superbowl. When we beat San Deigo Charges 49-26, in Super Bowl XXIX.

The downside it's been 30 years since a Championship...well overdue. It has been a painful 30 years.

3 Super Bowl losses... a Super Bowl loss per decade.

Burfords pass blocking was solid at LG but his run blocking was garbage. I think he would do better at left guard than right guard that isn't saying much.

im really hoping we nab some solid players for the o line. It's embarrassing how bad it is.
The AFC was horses**t when the Niners won their SBs, pretty sure they didn't win a SB for 20years.

Getting there was tough but once you did

Switch out Brady, Stafford, and even Goff( say what you will but he's taken two squads to NFCCGs) for Jimmy Garoppolo, a guy who couldn't hold a starting job a full season, and see how far Belichick and McVay get.

Put either with a ten point lead in the 3rd or 4th quarter.

What do you think the odds are the 49ers win?

How many teams would choose Kyle over McVay?

Regardless, Shanahan had his chances and was a huge reason they aren't 7x SB champions.

I'll support him and the team. But at some point, he needs to deliver a SB.

The real SB was Cowboys/49ers in the 90's. Everyone knew the SB was over the moment the clock struck zero against Dallas in 94. Chargers were already done. Those 90's Cowboys/49ers teams would run the Chiefs, Patriots, and whomever else out the building.
