Was thinking the same. He'd probably overflow 49ers.com with beast training clips.

GONE!!!!
Too many injuries. Have to start holding staff accountable so they can hold players accountable.

He also collaborates with the sports medicine staff to develop an individualized, sport and position specific, active integration rehabilitation plan to ensure the successful return to competition of all injured players.

His resume sounds good, but one variable is that Stanford tends to have more focused and disciplined athletes. In the NFL, he might need to get through to players that are still learning to be pros.

couple of things:
Injuries will likely regress to the mean and the new S&C coach will get the credit. Understand the move, but it's not as if the 49ers injuries were wildly outside of the norm. https://t.co/FwBhKfPmEY

Another note: This 49ers' strength coach change is very likely only partly because of injuries (which Shanahan and Lynch both believe are mostly random).

A significant impetus here may be the 49ers' perceived inability to physically finish some games as strong as possible.

That's another point too. Guys getting gassed so easily and dominated late in games.

Good one. I thot of that too. OTOH, he doesn't want to be in the cart looking worried or with a stern face says to the injured 49er, " Well Billy, your season is over. Your F***ed son."
I mean whereas it usually looks tike the team doc is having a great day and better ride, he does have to keep the conversation upbeat and hopeful. That actually is true in practice also . Physicians can't be untruthful but keeping a player with ACL company on the drive to locker room, probably requires that he does smile and say a few kind , hopeful words.
