That's another point too. Guys getting gassed so easily and dominated late in games.

Maybe the gassed part would explain the bad angles, bad form, and not attacking the ball.
Also, a lot of the front seven seem kind of light and cut, even though none of them are really about speed and agility. They might be better off training for more power and explosion.

tsk tsk. sour grapes
Lynch needs to fly up to Seattle and talk to Coach Tim Socha if he wants to head to the pros.
He has turned out some great players in his time at BSU and Washington.

My boy Oscar keeps saying that every year. I keep reminding him this is 5 years in a row and now, over two different S&C regimes.

Eventually he'll be right and we will regress back to mean. But the reality is we were a huge outlier for 5 straight years.

The Football Gods are NOT happy with us.

On top of his day-to-day duties with the football team, Turley oversees the sports performance program implementation for each of Stanford's 36 varsity teams.

Turley has created a comprehensive player development program designed to achieve three primary goals: injury prevention, athletic performance enhancement, and mental discipline development.

Turley was recognized as the 2013 College Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as selected by a vote of its members.

Following the 2011 season, FootballScoop.com named Turley as its Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year as determined by a panel of coaches and previous recipients. In addition, Turley has earned significant credit from the Stanford coaching staff for his role in turning around a team that won a single game the year before his arrival, to an elite program which has achieved its greatest success with four straight BCS bowl appearances (2010-13) and consecutive Pac-12 Conference championships (2012-13).

Integral parts of Turley's program include sports nutrition education, lifestyle management, and sports psychology programming, all of which ensure the optimal physical and mental preparation of Stanford's athletes. Turley is responsible for planning meals for the program's training table, travel, and game day to guarantee optimal nutrition and hydration. He also collaborates with the sports medicine staff to develop an individualized, sport and position specific, active integration rehabilitation plan to ensure the successful return to competition of all injured players.

the 2nd part is also dumb. We can't finish strong because of our d-coordinators "All gas no breaks" mentality. Of course we're gassed in the 4th quarter.

at least they fired this guy. Move on and get someone else. I'm okay with having a revolving door of S&C coaches every year until our injury luck gets good. Nothing to lose.
Who is qualified to judge the performance of S&C staff? Doesn't seem like senior ops guys are physios.

I'm ambivalent. Hope we find someone with a better balance toward muscular development and flexibility.

What does it mean that "we didn't finish strong."

A lot of games we got blown out early.
The raiders jersey is still buried in concrete @ Levi's...

Nice first step, now lest fire whoever is teaching tackling!
