Nutrition...possibly why our guys can''t make it to end of games?
Training, esp weights can be done well or poorly. We are interested in strength and longevity of that strength. I'm not up on this stuff but there is a new world out there in S and C, and it sounds like that guy at Stanford has it down. Love to see him interview and see if we could interest him. We've had inadequate S & C for a long time. I'm ready for some avant-garde help in S& C.

The teams MDs are some of the best doctors on the planet. You're talking about ridiculously overqualified people with resumes as long as the Magna Carta.
Fans like to point and blame things on the simplest factors possible. Its hard to buy that the team physician who received an award from the NFL for his cutting edge research into optimizing player health and improving injury recovery outcomes is just suddenly clueless when it comes to this team.
Realistically its more a combination of poor luck and some issues with the training staff overall than elite Stanford doctors who are amongst the leaders in their respective fields becoming temporarily incompetent. These same doctors treat elite athletes across a wide variety of sports, including those going to the Olympics.

couple of things:
Injuries will likely regress to the mean and the new S&C coach will get the credit. Understand the move, but it's not as if the 49ers injuries were wildly outside of the norm. https://t.co/FwBhKfPmEY
— Oscar Aparicio (@BetterRivals) January 4, 2019
Another note: This 49ers' strength coach change is very likely only partly because of injuries (which Shanahan and Lynch both believe are mostly random).
— David Lombardi (@LombardiHimself) January 4, 2019
A significant impetus here may be the 49ers' perceived inability to physically finish some games as strong as possible.
That's another point too. Guys getting gassed so easily and dominated late in games.
Maybe the gassed part would explain the bad angles, bad form, and not attacking the ball.
Also, a lot of the front seven seem kind of light and cut, even though none of them are really about speed and agility. They might be better off training for more power and explosion.

I would assume our doctors would be good because of the region. Having access to Stanford and UCSF is huge, not to mention we have the airport hub which gives us access to any doctor in the world.
I bet NFL caliber sports medicine is great across the board, can you imagine what the league pays in order to keep these athletes on the field?

I mean teams aren't hiring guys with a degree from the University of Guam Medical School.
Look at each team doctor and pretty much every single one is a heavyweight. These aren't just doctors who treat patients, they are heavily involved in research and are leaders in their respective fields.
I find it far easier to believe that dumb luck, playing surfaces, irregular offseason training approaches and subpar strength and conditioning approaches are more likely to blame for injury troubles than poor medical treatment.

They suck ass. From Alex's shoulder, to Foster's shoulder, Armstead's shoulder, concussions...they all f**king suck or have a team agenda. I saw Goodwin get two hits (concussions) this year in one game and he never visited the blue tent once. Pathetic.

Seriously. I lost track years ago. I'm just glad Kyle recognized a serious issue. But now he's got go upgrade.

Once the Warriors finally did this, they turned the corner and started winning championships. Just saying.
