I don't know a thing about who to use replace our old staff with. I have been impressed though by what I have read about the guy from Stanford running their sports medical. Think he'd transition to the NFL?

I'm with you on that one. I think it's likely another case where Shanny will not willingly get rid of "His Guy" at RB Coach (although we've done "OK'" with our RB's with respect to productivity). I just happen to be a big fan of Rathman.
Proud of Shanny and Lynch for reading this forum and getting a new strength and conditioning staff. It's a huge deal. There are still going to be freak injuries but we clearly need a better program.
To me, it's never made sense to have pro athletes do weight training in the middle of the season, if they are getting regular playing time. The game itself, and practices already take enough out of the body. Brute weight room strength only translates so much to the actual game. There should be more emphasis on practicing the game itself, and on training that is oriented towards injury prevention.

I really don't think pro athletes should be doing power lifting...powerlifting itself can really wear down a body over time, let alone doing power lifting plus football.

I agree, but Powerlifting done in moderation w/ rest is fine. They have to do something thru off season otherwise they'd come into camp fat, outta shape, and MORE likely to get hurt.
Best move so far in the offseason for us. lol

who would have thought that these positions were so important.

PLEASE NO MAJOR INJURIES NEXT SEASON.
Lol these poor guys getting canned because the team continuously selects soft injury prone players. Yeah firing these guys should really help lol.
