Makes sense. Remember, we're modeled after them.

His background prior to working with the Flyers:
Working with the players and performance coaches of elite teams in the NFL, NBA, NHL, and NCAA Division I. I help teams identify and evaluate contextual analytics by measuring training volumes, (accelerations, decelerations, change of direction speeds, biomechanical and physiological load quantifications), in real time, to improve performance outcomes and reduce soft tissue injuries of athletes.
Sounds like he'll be setting the philosophy for the training and sports science program while yet to be hired strength and conditioning coaches do the hands on work.
His specialty has been decreasing injury frequency and improving injury outcomes so thus far he sounds exactly like what this team needs. He's worked with the Flyers, the NHL, the U.S..Olympic team, various NFL, NBA and MLB teams in a consulting role. Pretty impressive background.

Good news? Less upper body injuries for the Flyers this season than the previous year.
Bad news? Mostly lower body injuries this season, especially the goalies.

No need to complain about any hire seeing what this team has gone thru the past few years. No where to go but up, NHL, MLB, MLS, premier league who cares anyone could be better than what we had

Glory glory hallelujah! It's been a long time coming that the S+C issue was addressed. Too many injuries and players on IR annually. Changes!

Using technology to track player movement and adjust training and playing style is long overdue. It is widely used in baseball, golf, alpine skiing, and others.
I like this hire.
