Not if he is gone the next year

I hope Saleh adds some new wrinkles to the defense assuming he keeps the wide 9. Whatever style they choose they need to show some different looks. Their defense was way to easy to attack last year.

With all the weaknesses at linebacker, run D, and an inconsistent pass rush, the team was still top 10 in overall yards and passing yards. Upgrading LB play, beefing up in the middle, upgrading FS,and improving in turnovers and we can get better in terms of points and our redzone inefficiency in defense. It will be a challenge but not hard if they are smart with their picks.

It seems like all of the great DCs are gone pretty quickly.

Need to shore up the run defense. This defense is at its best when they force the offense to become one dimensional and let Bosa pin his ears back.

Maybe we could bring D.J back

I'd love DJ back. I have heard some here say that Evan Anderson was flashing like a young DJ Jones, and I expect a big jump from Anderson in his second year. Perhaps he can be that guy, I hope so.
I say load up. bring in and draft as many good DL as you can.

We are so back!

DL + OL with our first two picks would be sweet.

Obviously, depending on who's there, I would like back to back DL and use those 3rds on OL or something. I'm just not super pumped about this OT group (as far as top end talent goes).
Does Saleh stay with the Wide 9? Doesnt seem like we have the DTs to play that scheme.

We didn't really have it in 2017. But teams are allowed to improve their roster.

Who needs the wide 9 when you had this guy

The wide 9 is staying which means we need to draft/sign a stud DT. Graham falling to 11 would be a blessing. If not I like Nolen
