Did DL Solomon Thomas get a couple sacks on the two interceptions in the red zone that Garoppolo threw in that practice?
"He may have. My eyes were in the backfield, so he may have."
Is this normal? Would a typical DC not know if one of his players had would be sacks? Should Saleh have noticed this while watching film afterwards? Is this why Solly didn't get that many reps last year, because Saleh literally didn't see what he could do?
Not hating, legit asking since I have zero coaching experience.
That bald SOB doesn't even wear a wig, yet he still can't notice who gets a TD?!!
Last year Solomon lost his sister and best friend, I think Solomon didn't do much to be noticed in practice or in games. This year, with counseling, he looks new and improved. We shall see, but I think last year was - unfortunately - an injury year for him, just like Jimmy (but on the mind side) not the body.
Yes, anyone would be devastated. I'm glad he's gotten a lot better mentally. He doesn't lack the physicality part.
BTW, what does your post have to do with Acorn's bald ass not wearing a wig and not noticing who got the TD?

Granted, its preseason. But to me, I'm just liking the varied looks that hes putting out in the defense. And guys are overall playing faster and making plays. A good sign. I think the defense will have to carry the team this year. Offense looks like another work in progress.

I think having Joe Woods is really helping him.

Agree with you all, props to Saleh for really improving the defense this year. I think he's working really well with Kiffe, Kocurek and woods. I love how the DLine looks these past two preseason games. Very quick, dominating, and they are putting some heat on the QB and this is without Dee Ford and Bosa. I hope it continues, and I hope he gets so good, he takes Fangio's head coaching job in a couple of years.
(that means we've either gone to a couple of NFC championship games or won a super bowl or two.

Can't wait until our defense is at full strength with Ford, Buckner, Bosa & all of those guys on defense flying around out there

True. And I like the creative blitzes too. Love what Kocurek and Woods are bringing. This Frankenstein defense just may scare the hell out of the village.

I've actually noticed this too. I'm waiting for week 1 to be fully convinced.

True. Game day speed is real. I will say I haven't seen much form tackling. Tartt still flying in there all awkward and of course, gives himself a concussion. Moore too. Witherspoon up/down. Colbert head/eyes down. Remember, most of the defenses injuries have been tackling with their forearms, head, etc.
Something to watch for this next game.

I"m wondering if Kocurek has a brother that just happens to coach the Offensive Line.

We can hope! I'd love to see this mentality for the OL.

Well technically, he didn't have a concussion but he sure almost gave himself one. Tackling with the back of your skull is not the way to do it... that's for sure.
