Just isn't "our time" and "our perfect storyline" yet. League will give us the go ahead next year in the rematch.

No regression back to 2018 with Woods gone, please.

Whatever Mr. Cone says, do the opposit.

Oden has spent time with the New Orleans Saints, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Detroit Lions and most recently the Miami Dolphins.
He will have big shoes to fill with Woods gone since he was able to get the 49ers secondary from bottom feeders to top of the line coverage guys after just one season with the team.

Yessir. But besides DJ/ Nick/ Kinlaw /Arik we still need Dee on 3rd downs/passing downs, plus Blair and Solomon PLUS a couple more. With 7 mins to go in SB, previous injuries had deprived us of Dee, DJ, and Blair. Our stout DL was blown. This yr try to make our rotational guys stronger, better and pray for good health.

I've often wondered what would have happened in the SB if we had our rotational DL all healthy and ready to go. Frankly I think we would have won

That is true. The other blatantly prejudicial call was when Garoppolo got smacked 2 yards out of bounds and didn't draw a flag. What other quarterback in the NFL would get hit out of bounds and not draw yellows from every direction? Simple blatant prejudice

Not sure how it would've changed much. Defense as a whole was amazing through 3 and a half QTs. And in the last 5 min of a SB you won't see too many back ups out there anyways. Plus we saw the refs allow them to just "play" for the most part during those last 5 min. So Bosa getting held and mugged not being called, it's not like they would've called holding against Blair.
^^^fair point, but by last 7 mins all our guys were blown. They played their hearts out and there just wasn't anymore to give. it would have been nice if we could have given them a blow in the 3rd qtr

I have one question. Since it was obvious from the 1st quarter on that the officials were going to 'let them play' and not call many penalties, why didn't the coaches tell the Niners O line to hold. In that last quarter the Chiefs had a heavy rush on Jimmy. Tell our guys to hold since the officials were letting players get away with it. If they penalized the 49ers and not the Chiefs we would at least have a real reason for complaining about bias. We didn't so we have no real case.
