DT Earl Mitchell thread

Who

Not a thick-wristed, stout guy.
Former running back, twitchy in a short area.
A mediocre talent who is a good fit. Decent yet unremarkable 49er. I hope our interior d-line depth renders him a backup.
I was not impressed with him coming out of college; thought he was over-drafted, but inside in a 4-3 is his only legit spot, so it's ok.

I think he got like 3 million. The fact the 4 other teams try signing Mitchell's leads me to believe he's healthy...plus he came back and play after he came of IR dude is fine...good signing for our new scheme.

Alright. I got one interior lineman. Now im going out and drafting Jonathan Allen to pair inside. And put my 1st rounders on the outside.

I think Mitchell could really elevate this young line with some mentorship and experience.

I already can see some developing cbs on the outside. I like move. EM could be more value to the team than we could imagine. Small move to instantly put our dline into top 5 unit on paper. Good job by the FO.

Haha I concur. This is good news. Just the fact that the two free agents we signed had 3 to 4 other choices and they chose to be with the Niners when we are supposedly a bad team with a lot of b******t and nobody wants to come here is a sign we have turned the culture around already. We will be Active in free agency because this is their first year and they want to make a statement. Even if people think spending money in free agency isn't the best way to build, well it is certainly a way to build as John Elway did in Denver.
