His name is DJ Jones and he's going to have a breakout season this year. He's the reason why I think the 49ers can pass on Q. Williams and Ed Oliver. DJ can ball. Kid has a bright future! https://t.co/o9cR0omCoa

Thats what I've been saying. DJ has some upside. He can move for a big man. Give him a good Dline coach and he should be able to do more in the passing game.
Can he cover?

(CC you don't have a calm opinion on literally anything in life.)
The man was brought in to be a vet leader during the midst of insane roster turnover. They did his contract this way as an out for this very reason. More snaps inside for DJ and Solly is a win win as far as I'm concerned.

Even better than firing our S&C coach, or replacing Hafley with Joe Woods?

Mitchell was gone regardless...QW isn't a NT imo. this means more snaps for Jones then anything. Also Saleh said Buck is our 3-tech and that's where he will be (QW is a ideal 3-tech as well).

Not surprising. Bring in a few veterans to establish the foundation and then let those contracts run their course as designed.
Thank you Earl. Good luck in your future endeavors. You served your purpose for us now enjoy retirement or your next NFL stop, whichever may come.
