Given that there have been all out brawls at Popeye's lately, he might be in fighting shape.

And now he gets to advance to the Divisional Round for the first time in his career.
This move is being completely ignored by the press outside of Santa Clara and is HUGE for the 49ers. Mitchell wore down towards the ends of seasons and became less effective. He's going to be rested healthy and a vet. At the very least as an average DT in the middle, he'll be able to do some good things and allow others around him to play well.
just stop the run and I'll be happy

Agree
IMO, he'll have a fire inside to prove himself now that he has a second opportunity.

Agreed. I think his presence will be a huge boost for our run defense with DJ out.

got decent push on two blockers on armstead's sack and otherwise looked stout, if a bit out of shape. looked like we were rotating linemen effectively for the first time in a bit. would be interested in seeing snap counts.

That's a great snap count for guys like Buck and Bosa playing 75% of the snaps! They should be crazy fresh for next week.

Those are all crazy low numbers reflecting the dominance of the defense plus the clock-burning running game Kyle dialed up. With an extra day of rest, everyone should be ready for next week. Almost a mini-bye.

Oh definitely agree. Once our D dominated and the Running game got going it was game over. Good to see there wasn't any high leveraged moments and the team came out unscathed. Team will be fresher for next week. I love where we at as a team.

And Dee Ford for less than half and he still made a huge impact.

Ford at 22, that is so perfect for him... maybe only need him for 10 to 15 pass rushes per game.
I thought it was awesome yesterday when Ford and Bosa were lined up on the same side to pass rush yesterday... the guard and tackle must have been shatting their pants
