No way Kyle lets Juice walk, he and Trent are the two must re-signs, and Kyle/John will make it happen IMO.

It might be out of his control. This is Juice's last contract. He'll be 30 years old next year when the NFL season kicks off. He's going to secure that bag.

Just let him go to a team that knows how to use him properly.

Huh? Dude makes the run game go, can lineup at Slot WR, TE, had a TD in the SB, 2 rush TDs this year, well worth the money, Kyle needs to re-sign Juice and Trent, no way he lets either walk IMO.

Very true, but back then, WR3-5 really didn't do much. With that said, I think Juice could be a 50+ catch guy if they wanted to and I wish they used him more to attack defensives. it would give linebackers and safeties more to worry about it.

I am so glad your position on Thomas has changed. Why do you want Ronald Blair to go however? I agree on Bourne. I can't see him getting much around the league. Ideally, I see Bourne as WR4.

On Blair, if it's a cheap 1yr deal then I'm good with it, but the ACL injury sucked, cause he was so a good guy for like 5 sacks a year kinda, now Hyder's proven he can be that guy, if they can get Blair on a cheap 1yr or 2-3 yr deal, do it. I'd prefer someone like this in 2021 on the DL, AA, Bosa, Dee(On a redone deal), Blair, Hyder, Kinlaw, Jones, Givens, Street, Rookie EDGE, let Thomas, Ansah, Jordan, etc... walk, maybe sign Willis to a 1yr vet minimum deal for camp to let him compete since no guarantee Bosa is ready week 1.

I really hope at WR we have Deebo-Aiyuk-Hurd for the future, add in another draftee, in the 4th rd range, a steal or something, I don't see a high round WR unless we trade up for one, cause we need a QB, EDGE, CB, and C or G over another high round WR, but knowing Shanny he won't use a high pick on a IOL, so maybe we trade up for a 3rd to get a WR who falls.

I agree with the redone deal for Dee. Perhaps they go to him with the Carlos Rogers deal where he has to take a pay cut or be cut. His best chance at big money given his history is with us so we'll see. I'd just like to add a pure speed guy at receiver. Even if they are a 1 trick pony, we are covered with Deebo and Aiyuk holding down the top spots. I agree with those top needs.

He was never going to get 3+ targets a game. After watching him in the 49ers offense for multiple seasons, I think his role is as a blocker first, then as someone Kyle would use for explosive plays. Which sounds odd for a fullback, but that's why he's a unique player. Off the top of my head, he's been wide open at least two times downfield this season and the QB overthrew him. When plays are designed for him to get the ball on a pass, it usually involves playaction then trying to hit him downfield.

This is the same way Kyle has been using him in years past allowing Juice to average over 10 yards per reception, which is crazy for a fullback. A quick look at Juice's longest reception per year with the 49ers: 44, 56, 49, 41. Kyle never intended Juice to be a volume pass catcher, he's a splash play guy.

I think you're right. It's never a good idea to have that much money invested in a fullback, especially when you've got more pressing needs.

Juice was the very first free agent player I was hoping they'd sign when Kyle landed here in SF. I loved watching him playing in Baltimore. It sucks, but our cap situation is getting tight, Juice is getting older(will be 30 before next year), and tough decisions must be made. That said, I'd love to have him back.

I get that, but I think based on his abilities he can do more. Not that this has to happen every single game, but definitely enough where Juice is someone else teams have to worry about. If there is a team that is poor in pass coverage at linebacker and safety, why not?
