if we let juice go we better have a damn good replacement lined up because he is what makes this ground game go. the FB in this offense is crucial thats why hes paid so much. it may not absoultely have to be juice but it has be someone good. that can catch AND block. if he was smart hed take a discount to stay another few years an try again at a SB.

but if hes already talking in past tense of his time here (loved my time here) maybe he or someone else already decided hes done here.
There aren't many teams that use a fullback so he might have a problem getting a lot of offers.

The problem is the 49ers have always overpaid free agents. Ford,Alexander,Juice,McKinnon,Coleman and Richburg all way overpaid.

That was the price of bad drafting by Baalke for years. You always overpay in FA.

It's funny, because a ton of people here were ready to burn down 4949 DeBartolo way when Lynch didn't ship 2 1st round picks and pay Mack 19 mil/year.

They were also mad we didn't go after Norwell(14mil/year guard), keep T. Brown(16.5 mil/year), trade for Jalen Ramsey(2 1sts and 21mil/year), trade for Antonio Brown or Odell Beckham.

There have been so many high priced FA's that fans wanted and I was one who didn't like the idea of spending and spending because eventually it would catch up. I was told back then that, "cap hell really doesn't exist anymore".

I'll admit I'll be salty if we let Juice go and Hurd, James, Coleman, McKinnon, Richburg, Ford, Ward, Witherspoon, Tartt, Grasu, Skule, Taylor, Street, and Jones keep a roster spot.

Witherspoon is gonna be gone. So we can all celebrate

That and hardly anyone's going to have money. We can be 5th in cap space next year - that's right, 5th best if nothing else changes, by restructuring Jimmy's contract and cutting Ford and Richburg. I have a hard time believing there's going to be a dearth of big contracts next year, especially when few teams use fullbacks.

Seattle will turn him into a pro bowl player

Dude, imagine Witherspoon having to tackle Deebo in open field.

I'd love for them to pick him up.

Good post jd!!
Kepp Juice until you have a replacement who is as good or better than him.

Probably never going to happen. Who was the last FB in the NFL that could do what he does? Marcel Reese is the closest FB I can think of, but his blocking wasn't nearly as good as Juice's. Alec Ingold for the Raiders, a guy I was pounding the table for the 49ers to sign as a UDFA, is very good. But even he isn't as good of a receiver as Juice.

Is it me or was this Juice's worst game as a Niner? Seeing clips come out and he was missing blocks.

I really would love to continue [my career] here, but my economics degree would tell me that it would be smart to weigh my options, and see what's out there, and see what kind of opportunities I do have for my family, and that sort of thing."

"Kyle and I have already had just brief informal discussions about a possible return," Juszczyk continued. "I'm absolutely open to that and would love that because I love everything that we've built here, and it's been so cool to be a part of that, really, from the very beginning when Kyle and John (Lynch) got here — a complete overhaul. To be a part of that first original free-agency class that they brought in has been really cool, and I would love to continue that."

Better take a pay cut if he wants to return.

A bit disappointed we didn't develop anyone behind him over these years...

Juice plays a lot with his hands(probably due to his history of concussions). There's no stopping that with your hands. You gotta cut that one.
