"I would just say that I absolutely, absolutely loved my time here with the Niners," Juszczyk said on the Murph & Mac show. "It's been absolutely phenomenal. I really would love to continue [my career] here, but my economics degree would tell me that it would be smart to weigh my options, and see what's out there, and see what kind of opportunities I do have for my family, and that sort of thing."

"Kyle and I have already had just brief informal discussions about a possible return," Juszczyk continued. "I'm absolutely open to that and would love that because I love everything that we've built here, and it's been so cool to be a part of that, really, from the very beginning when Kyle and John (Lynch) got here — a complete overhaul. To be a part of that first original free-agency class that they brought in has been really cool, and I would love to continue that."

Better take a pay cut if he wants to return.
A bit disappointed we didn't develop anyone behind him over these years...
Phenomenal blocker and hands.

I wouldn't blame him for trying to get more money for his family if he leaves.

He is underused in my opinion. So, if they're going to keep using Juszczyk how they've been using him then just get a cheaper guy.

They currently have Josh Hokit on the practice squad that they are developing.

Resigning Juice is a no brainer for both sides. There aren't many teams who will value the FB position in a way that would even have them complete for his services
4 years 19m
6m signing bonus, 1.5m base in 2021, 4.5m base in 2022, 3m base in 2023 and 4m in 2024

Juice gets 7.5m in year 1 money but with a cap hit of only 3m in 2021. Niners can free up 3m in cap space by cutting Benjamin and Nzeocha

Dude, imagine Witherspoon having to tackle Deebo in open field.

I'd love for them to pick him up.

Watch Spoon injure deebos quads and hamstrings
If the team is going to blow it up don't sign Juice, if not get the contract in his hands ASAP.
Way over paid for the performance we've gotten. Sure some great plays once every 3 games or 4. We're going to have some serious holes to fill and need cap space.

He'll end up with per game roster bonuses and workout bonuses included, all 49ers contracts have them in it. Likely $400K Roster Bonuses and $100K workout bonuses each season. That would get him to the $5.25M APY I think he deserves.
They should get him the ball more. He is underutilized.

I don't think that is really his fault though. I mean, how many times is he even targeted? Or given the ball in short yardage? How many plays has he been WIDE OPEN and not even looked at, or overthrown by 1/2 a mile? He's made plays when he's had the opportunities. I just don't understand while John and Kyle made up this whole OW thing, if they didn't intend to use him. Other than to justify why they overpaid for him.

100% agree.

I hope he goes to a team that knows how to use him properly.

It's not you're right but it's on mgmt. if we are not even utilizing him to his full potential then it's a waste IMHO.

I actually agree. They paid him a butt load of money just to be a blocker. He can do so much more. He is a decent runner and a very adequate pass catcher.

I like him as a player, but the more i think about it, I wouldn't want to re-sign him unless he takes a paycut. This team will never utilize him to the best of his ability so why pay a premium for his services?

have I not been saying that he's overpaid because we aren't using him to the fullest??

does it really take this long for all of Us to see??

If that was your take, then props to you. I know it takes the webzone A LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time to catch on to things.

Yeah, no reason to pay him a premium if all he's asked to do is block. Which is fine but just get a blocking TE or FB and have him go at it. Love Juszcyzk but if he's not utilized as a weapon then invest the money in the O- line, Hyder or Verrett.
