Worst case scenario, franchise him. Unless the league doesn't consider a difference between running back and fullback, we should be able to afford that price. It'd be 8 million.

Sounds a little like Robbie Gould but he spoke with his pocketbook and not penis.

He's considered a RB, so we'd never franchise him at that price.

lol so he had the chance to play close to home, but his g/f cried, so he moves across the country to SF. Now he's saying he wants to be close to home?
i just wonder how many teams will pay him what hes used to getting.

If Kyle can get another Aiyuk/DeeBo level WR - I think the FB role would be diminished such that you can let Juszczyk go and free up some cap space. My hope is they go WR somewhere in rounds 1 to 3 of the draft, and a FB/TE in rounds 4 to 5 of the draft. Once that happens, they can let Juszczyk go and move a lot of the passes he caught to the 3rd WR and have the FB run basic blocking stuff like the rest of the NFL teams do. I just don't think paying a fullback 8 million a year makes sense nowadays.

Saleh is going to be annoying as hell this offseason by taking all our FAs.
Yeah I think so, I've already conceded K'Wan Williams is out of here. Just glad we kept Kocurek, might get to keep Hyder.

cant pay 8m fot juice. We can get a lot of good blockers for 2m. Or just run dwelley out of the backfield.

Listen, I think his value is soooo far understated. You can't just "run Dwelley out of the backfield". If it was that simple every team would do that. Yes he's only a fullback, but he brings so much to our team and offense that you cannot just replace. He is the George Kittle of fullbacks and I personally feel that he's the most important FA we have. I feel if he goes, it would have a Buckner like effect.

WR talent has nothing to do with Juice being on the field more, he's a staple of kyle's scheme. He makes the OZ go....If it's not Juice, it will be another FB.

Yeah I agree...He's not "just a FB" he makes the whole OZ running game go. When a FB is on the field 99% of the time it's a run BUT Juice can run routes and take a handoff as well. It's another lineman on the field who can catch. That's a MASSIVE advantage for an offense. It's all about numbers. He takes away that LBer/S on those OZ runs.
Having him on the field isn't a tell and it confuses defenses (who don't see a player like him every week). I wish they would have developed a guy behind him while he was here. Dwelley isn't remotely close to Juice and it's silly to assume He could do what Juice does.
He's a top 3 resigning IMO.

If he can't find a fullback he likes, he will use a FB a lot less. He doesn't need to stick to the 21 personnel grouping. He can use more of the 2nd TE, or 3rd WR.
