Yes, Kyle can use a FB less frequently while Tremble is learning.

Listen, I think his value is soooo far understated. You can't just "run Dwelley out of the backfield". If it was that simple every team would do that. Yes he's only a fullback, but he brings so much to our team and offense that you cannot just replace. He is the George Kittle of fullbacks and I personally feel that he's the most important FA we have. I feel if he goes, it would have a Buckner like effect.

If he can't find a fullback he likes, he will use a FB a lot less. He doesn't need to stick to the 21 personnel grouping. He can use more of the 2nd TE, or 3rd WR.

Yeah I agree...He's not "just a FB" he makes the whole OZ running game go. When a FB is on the field 99% of the time it's a run BUT Juice can run routes and take a handoff as well. It's another lineman on the field who can catch. That's a MASSIVE advantage for an offense. It's all about numbers. He takes away that LBer/S on those OZ runs.

Having him on the field isn't a tell and it confuses defenses (who don't see a player like him every week). I wish they would have developed a guy behind him while he was here. Dwelley isn't remotely close to Juice and it's silly to assume He could do what Juice does.

He's a top 3 resigning IMO.

Thats my point, Kyle can throw more vs run more if they have another Aiyuk/Deebo. * And* if they find a TE that is also a possible deep threat as well as a good blocker, that agian diminishes Juszczyks role. I get that Juszczyk is a good blocker and a reciever too, but so are Deebo and Aiyuk. That again will reduce the blocking that Juszczyk will have to do.

Having another 3rd WR *and* a decent deep threat TE will make this offense more explosive on the passing side without making this offense less lethal in the run game. And it should be much cheaper capwise too.

I'm not against this option, but if this is the plan, the team will have to take Tremble significantly earlier than expected to make sure they get him... and some other team might have the same idea so it is dicey to plan on it. Lots of teams going to try to copy Kyle and Tremble fits the same with any of them.

Good point, with teams copying Kyle's system, Kyle might have to revamp and re-design his system to outdo his old offensive system.

Agreed. It is like Kyle's personal version of moneyball. He sets things up so he can get production from underappreciated/underpaid guys. Juice was pretty cheap on average and will probably get a relatively big payday so Kyle may have to rethink a bit.

I like Tremble as an alternative because he can be a bit more of a TE and allow Kyle to do some different things.

Really, really hoping it works out that they can bring Juice back.
This guy's not worth what he's paid. How many 3rd and 4th and 1s has he converted over the years? I hope the next fb we bring is a hammer. Short yardage had killed us for years. With all these scat backs we play you need a hammer who can come in and always get you that yard yard and a half.

Don't know what you've been watching. He's crucial to our run game apart from blocking.

Also he may have came in overpaid, but he's worth keeping around. I'd pay him.

I agree. For 6+ million a year, he should be more than just an offensive weapon and a good blocker. He's an excellent all purpose guy for Kyle's offense so I get why Kyle likes him. He brings in versatility at the FB position, both as a receiver and a blocker. If you look at his rushing versus receiving he is catching passes about 86% of the time and rushing for only about 14% of the time (when he gets his touches). His talent is in blocking and receiving, not so much pounding the rock. Personally, I'd draft/get a FA that is a above average/good TE and Blocker, and use the cap savings to augment the RB corps and bring in a short yardage run specialist like a Legarret Blount kind of a short yardage back that can reliably get two or three yards consistently to close out the 4th QTR. But I get why Kyle likes Juszczyk, his presence prevents defenses from going nickel on his passing game. I'm hoping if Kyle gets another WR at the level of Emanuel Sander's but younger, he can start doing away with the fullback position and go more 3 wide. We shall see.

If Kyle isn't going to use him to his full potential, then let him walk.
Juice needs to take a paycut if he wants to stay
I'd love Juice back. But if he costs more than about $4M a season, its an easy pass for me.

There's gotta be a less pricey, younger replacement out there that can move and block like Juice. Maybe doesn't have the hands like Juice, but that's okay. The outside zone, and the run game in general, is so much better with a FB that can move the way Juice does.

Agreed.
