I actually think of the big name free agents, he's most likely to leave. I think we can keep Trent, Verrett, and possibly Hyder. But if the Jets offer him anything close to what we offer or more, he's gone. Basing this off of his comments about family.

Yes, after T. Williams, he is right up there as a priority IMO. All that he offers this team that could easily go unnoticed. He seems to really like it here, too, and fits right in with the culture this team has been building. Keep Juice aboard.

For seven million dollars a year, I wish he had Rathmans 4.4 yard average on the ground.

... how can " THE BEST FB IN THE GAME " put up those numbers when " THE BEST MIND IN FOOTBALL" doesn't know how to use him?

Moonster - I think Kyle never needed really develop the FB position until he faced some top coaches in the super bowl. In other words, with his scheme genius alone, he got to where he got. But once he got to the big game, those imperfections in his schemes show up.

I'd be looking for a power running back in the 2021 draft/free agency (If I was Kyle) that I could place in the H-Back/OW position that Juszczyk's occupies. Someone that can get 3 yards against an 8 man front, as well as able to block and catch. In other words, a first, second, or third round talent level RB/FB that would be able to power Kyle's four minute offense to close out championship games if he's ahead in the 4th QTR.

So your idea is to reach for a RB, then teach him how to play FB? Interesting, but i highly doubt this is our approach.

You need to understand, just like the rest of the NFL does, its a dead position when it comes to the FB being a play maker.

It used to be a very valuable position in past eras when the NFL was a running league. Great athletes would play FB in high school and college. No great athlete is playing FB in high school and college anymore.

I'd say he ends up with about 3 Niners. Juice, K Williams and possibly Hyder or Solly.

I predict Juice, K'Waun, Ahkello, Solly, Tartt and Sherm. Sign all these dudes and put his D installation on a fast track. Fortunately, we don't have many offensive players for him to steal.

Yall going overboard with every niner going to the jets. No way he takes Tartt or Solly. If he does that's a bad sign.

He can have Ahkello, Solly, Tartt, Sherm, and even Bourne, but he CAN'T HAVE JUICE, and I want K'Waun back, but I'd be fine with King or Hilton as the new Slot CB. I also want DJ Jones back on either a cheap 1yr or 2-3 yr deal.

If Solly and Tartt come cheap they'd be good moves IMO, Tartt anyway, I always liked Tartt, I just hope we don't end up re-signing him, I want a Ward/Moore Safety duo, draft a backup FS to take over for Ward after 2022.

Agree with you on K-Wan. I'd like him back too. Disagree on Juice. I think ShanaLynch can go cheaper and get a guy in the draft that can do 80% of what Juszczyk can do for 90% cheaper via the draft or free agency. Having said that, Kyle loves Juszczyk, and unfortunately I see him coming back at 7+ million apy, which to me is severely over priced for a fullback that is garnering around 3.1 yard average per carry. Juszczyk is used more often as a pass catching FB versus the ground and pound game and you can get a TE to get that kind of skillset.

Somebody like Rhamondre Stevenson (I know he's graded as a first round pick in the 2021 draft) but I'm using him as an example of the kind of back I think Juszczyk *should* be for getting all that money. I think Kyle's genius at spotting RB's at the discount double check mart's part time employee board should be turned to finding that talented FB like a Rahmondre in the later rounds or in undrafted free agency.
No way Juice is brought back making MORE than his initial contract with us imo.

So you do know Hokit averaged 4.2 yards per carry at Fresno as their power back to Rivers scat back. As for being a great athlete he was also a DI All-American wrestler so he isn't really an offensive guard out there.

So it kind of is the 49er's approach at least currently.
