Google...it just seems weird that we are paying a guy to play a near extinct position the same amount as our teams MVP.

He isn't the MVP, he is a part time running back. He got the job last season and isn't durable enough. Need a committee with him.

I have to agree with this take. Mostert is a highly gifted role player and deadly in the right system. He's not a FT, tote-the-rock, 30-carries-between-the-tackles-every-down running back. If we find a durable fast back in this draft with speed and size, look out.

I'm not sure I agree. He's definitely a perfect fit for our system, but there is something special about him. We've had a lot of fast guys in the backfield (Jett/Coleman/Breida) and none of them where nearly as impactful. His vision and acceleration are special. He's a threat to take it to the house on every carry. That's not just because he's fast. Sure he's not a ground and pound guy, but who cares? He's a quick strike threat.

And yes, he is our MVP (IMO). I'm sure someone could dig up the numbers to prove it.
