Snap count is still kind of low. TBH, I'm a little surprised they resigned him. Even Juice didn't seem that confident that they would. Seemed to recall that he was crying after the last game

I don´t have any problems with this because Juice is the guy that keeps defenses in base and then we can attack them through the air.

The thing is that Shanahan doesn´t use him as much as he should considering how much they´re paying him as an "OW"..

Juice the last 2 years:
1.3 recepcions per game
0.7 carries per game

So Juice is averaging 2 touches per game and I know he is a really good run blocker but his pass-protection was bad last year and he is in the wrong side of 30 and our team is getting old.

What I´m trying to say is that is they resigned Juice I hope that this time they can use him more because 2 touches per game isn´t enough to justify his extension at that age for a player that only plays less than 50% of the snaps.

I want more Juice and not only the one that goes in motion.

All of this.

Bold - I thought his run blocking was crap down the stretch also. Maybe he was just protecting himself for his next contract in a lost year, or something, but it left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope he comes back motivated, now that he's been paid.

Seems they over-paid. bill Walsh would have let him go, being 30 y/o
Maybe the contract will end up only being 3 years for ~$15 mil

He's contract is only guaranteed for '21. If they want they can cut him anytime after that.

He is worth every penny if Kyle uses him more. He needs to play more than 40% of the snaps and needs more touches. He is the best fullback in the league by far and should be paid well above his peers. I don't know what people were expecting him to get. $3 Million per year? Yeah right., And imagine if the Niners let him walk and the Rams had signed him? This place would have freaked out.

Mostert can't stay on the field.

They need to use him like they used Rathman. More short yardage touches and more redzone plays.
Glad I was wrong. As for wanting a bigger back to grind out yards, that isn't Juice. But I do think he can give us 30 to 40 catches if they wanted to use him.

Jeff wilson already grinds out those "hard yards" SF is set at the back position IMO. Maybe grab another UDFA or something.

I mean think about it, they're paying around $9-$10 for ALL of their backs. When guys are healthy this is a top 3 running offense and overall they're not paying a s**t ton of money to make it go.
Glad he's back!

I don't know. I think Juice can grind out the yards - he has a 3.8 yard average per carry. I think with a stronger more dominant center, that can go up. I was hoping Hokit and Woerner were up to speed to take Juice's place, and we could save some cap money on Juszczyk, but I guess not. Maybe next year.
