It's to reveal the coverage, if a LB stands out there it's likely to be man, if a CB does it's likely to be zone.

That is an expensive tool for the arsenal. I just think the FB is someone the 49ers can get cheaper.

He is pivotal part of our run game, he also serves as our 3rd down back much of the time, all of that can be replaced.

What can't, and why we pay him is that if we decide to leak him out he can beat linebackers straight up, they have to respect him.

It doesn't matter how much we do it, it's on tape and changes how DC's have to prepare for us.

Problem is he's a poor third down back. He can't guarantee 1-2 yards up the middle and barrel through them.

This makes him just a sneaky tight end that stands in the backfield.

If he could always get a yard to yard and half when handed the ball on 3rd 98% of the time he'd be a lot more valuable. It's more like 50/50 though.

I'm sure we can work something out with Juice.
I think we can take off the OW moniker from this thread title. Deebo the real OW.

Agreed. He could be, but isn't used.
"Mike has been instrumental to our success on offense the past 5 years," Juszczyk wrote in a text. "His creativity, ingenuity and ability to connect with his players is unmatched. We would not be the offense we are today without him. We are all so incredibly happy for his opportunity to lead a team as a head coach but he will be sorely missed by all of us."

In that case, good riddance

I love the fact he's locked down a few years and we can really give our scouting team a chance to find his replacement in the 6-7+ UDFA rounds for the next few years.
I don't give this guy enough credit.

JFC you trolls have no appreciation of the Xs and Os that the 49ers run game wins with due to Juice

He and Kittle have an almost psychic bond when it comes to run blocking and picking off a moving target so the other blocker can hit the next blocking target

There are a ton of film breakdowns showing how Juice was a key block to spring a big run

And if our QB could hit a wide open target then those plays where Juice is out wide all alone wouldnt feel so bad.

He had at least 2 wide open free TDs i recall off the top of my head that JG whiffed on
Glad he'll still be on the team, for his run and pass blocking, and for his route running and receiving skills..

Those who just want to throw a cheap fullback in there need to review their fan card.
