Maybe they won't be as good as they were on our team compared to their previous team but that does not mean it wouldn't work out well for the niners. We now have better coaches and a better gm already. Look at the raiders look at the giants. They got a few splash players and it put them over the top from mediocrity. The niners are below mediocre but a great fa would help us win more games easily.

A few more games is meaningless when you are basically at rock bottom. Another year of high draft picks will do more for this team overall in the long-term.

I think they were pretty smart in how they approached FA, bringing in a bunch of guys that know the scheme, filling in crucial roles on offense at WR and FB along with LB and DT on defense.

The added depth and experience is going to go a long way when combined with some of the young talent on the roster and the players to be added through the draft.

Not to mention all while having the most cap space in the NFL. When these FA signings are being replaced by better talent thats were the money comes in. They have a plan, that is certainly obvious. Will it work? Thats the million dollar question. But so far it looks methodical and thought out well.

What more can you ask for?

He is the real deal.

This absolutely the best fit for for him and his skill set. If we can draft a Curtis Samuel in the 2nd round thats an instant nightmare matchup.

You come out with I formation personnel and the defense brings in their base defense. With the right personnel we can show run and line up our RBs at WR. If they come out in a nickel we run it down their throat. A little game within the game. Kyle is the perfect weapon in that he doesn't tip off run or pass like a typical FB.

Almost completely agree, except sub out Samuel for this guy (a true rb/wr threat)

I don't see how we can get him. He is probably going top 15. Samuel will hopefully be there at 34 though.

Yeah, would have to be an epic trade down, or a double one.

You dont like Samuels? 4.37 40 yd dash? We get a LB or safety covering him and its game over. I don't care who you are.

The matchups and protections we could dictate would be revolutionary in today's NFL.

I-form/4 wr package. Lol, unheard of. Defensive coordinators would lose many a nights sleep trying to figure that one out.

Oh, Samuel would be fun, no doubt, I just like Christian better.

In a dink and dunk offense I like McCaffrey more too. But in an explosive offense Curtis is the choice.

Amazing how well Shalyn did in FA. No real mistakes and as you mentioned, the added depth is key. Sadly altho we virtually didn't have real live starters, we didn't even have any worthy backups. And the GACK we had for WRs was embarrassing. And we had some three yrs and never produced. Cleaning house on WRs was a great start, not including kerley, our best receiver. The new guys signed in many cases as depth, were actually better than our starters. OUr guys have done good so far. Just hope they continue in draft. NO big mistakes. But look for and expect someone to screw up, hopefully Cleve. They have a 3 or 4 yr series going of one mistake after another, Johnny football being at head of list.

Adding the big OUCH was a huge get, and a monster move up from Miller, who was pretty good. Off field...not so. I think kyle uses jusczyk way more than most folks expect. He's my bet for one of our top 3 players this yr. Lynch is going to make us famous. Already his contacts with other GMs has paid off.

Being rock bottom and still being competitive against playoff teams? I think y'all aren't giving the league enough credit. The league competition IMO is at an all time high. We easily could of been 6-10 or so. There's no free wins and there's no guarantees on draft picks. We're not that far away from playoffs IF we have a great draft.

I will go ahead and say if we go mostly D with top picks we'll be better later than drafting offense and trying to improve now lol. BALANCE.

I do get your point doe Phoenix, you gotta think short and long term in this bizz...heck life in general lol.

The "Oh s**t" screen.....very similar to the Greg Clark TD catches vs GB in the 1998 wildcard game.
