He's gotten plenty of chances. Can't run routes, can't block, he looks like a wasted pick.

Bingo!

Really???

you all saw him lined up at FB and got the chance to play at the position??

No, because he hasn't looked good enough to warrant that. He hasn't looked that good at what he was brought here to do. If you aren't a reliable blocker, or receiver at tight end does that mean we should assume you would excel at FB? Lol!

... uhmmmm, we once drafted a QB from Penn State and turned him into a FB, but didn't give him enough time to develop and the guy ended up winning a ring w/Seattle...

When I say give a guy a chance, I didn't mean to line him up on a short period, I mean, why not give him the whole year to learn and develop.. if we didn't see him (Bell) as a pass catching TE, we must have drafted him as good blocker.. NO?

Baalke drafted him so who the hell knows what he was thinking. And just because we made a mistake once on a different guy doesn't mean anything. Why in the world would we tie up a spot to develop a guy at a new position when he hasn't shown himself to be a great blocker and receiver? Did you buy his jersey or something and don't want it to go to waste? None of this makes any sense.

ALL I'm saying is that we gave a FB, too much money... A FULL BACK !!! as in, what threat does he really have??? Who does he scare???

What's he done??

I haven't even seen a specific play where it's really designed for him to show case his talent..

have you all??
sometimes i forget this guy is on the team.

Meh. DGAF if we paid too much money - we have too much unspent money as is. Disappointed we didn't spend more in FA, but the FO may plan to suck for a couple of years to re-stock with high Draft picks.

I'm just pi$$ed off that he has been used so little. Don't understand why he hasn't been.

*** Conspiracy Theory: Shanny figured we were going to lose the first 2 games regardless, and didn't want to reveal a bunch of plays that we will use the rest of the Season

Yeah, pretty thin, but I'd like to think there is some reason for lack of OW Production.
Why did we pay this guy so much money to do what a UDFA could do?

Be patient it's only been 2 games, rome wasn't built in a day, bill walsh lost his first 7 games, year 1 of rebuild.

I loved him lead blocking for Hyde and Breida... he was $ but yeah, not many rocks thrown around let alone to this guy.

what ever happened to the theory that i really believed in , that we would throw to him out of the backfield as another tight end almost?

That's hard to do when our QBs favorite receiver is the other team's MLB.
Rams LBs are weak in the running game... Juice gets a few passes his way this game especially on a short week.

Good question.
