You know having the money is only half the battle. Right? Getting people to sign is the other half. People aren't lining up to play for a two win team that had no qb on the team, literally no qb and are embarking on a full rebuild. Most of the free agents that the team did get were guys connected to the coaching staff or Lynch. We were lucky to get the amount that we did.

Juice is arguably the best fullback in the league. He is a great lead blocker who can excel in the passing game. The 49ers paid a premium price for him on the open market because that's what bad teams have to do to get good free agents to play for them. His catching totals are down because in Baltimore he was used on third downs. Here they obviously feel that Breida and Hyde are better third down options. He's still made a very good impact in the running game. Dude has been a legit beast on the field in the running game already and keyed several nice run blocks.

Right now he's doing the things that aren't showing up in the box score or the sexy stats department but he's still made an impact regardless. As far as his receptions total, it's only four games in. Let's wait and watch the next twelve before getting too worked up on his passing game usage. It's a long season.

. I just get a titch upset, and i think rightfully so,,, when you sign a guy and either shanny or lynch or both set there and list all of the things they will do with him and then when we start playing games.... nothing

I think in things like this it's important to see how a season plays out before overreacting. Shanahan has already showcased some packages for him and he's been heavily involved in the running game so far. He's lost 10 percent of his playing time though because he's not the third down back in San Francisco. He did have three catches and an important carry on fourth down against Arizona. So it's not like their totally ignoring him.

When the season closes if his usage is still minimal in the passing game after he was signed to be an "ow" your feelings will be a little more vindicated. Right now your jumping the gun a little too quickly.

We have to give Juice more touches, he's very Rathman like.
Line him up at TE some more and get this dude the damn ball.

what a terrible signing so far. he gets 20-30 snaps a game? 5 mil a year for that? lmao...and people were okay with cutting Brooks because we were rebuilding

ITS BEEN FOUR f**kING GAMES.....Oh that's right, you live in that fantasy world where offense's shoud Be fully installed in training camp and a quarter of the season shows all you are gonna do. Again, it's just hilarious how you talk s**t about real football guys not knowing how to use guys.
About the time Au Jus got ONE pass , and ONE run for a 1st down, I was wondering WTF we had brot Au Jus in for. He sure performed those two tasks well, but basically he s just not getting much use. WHY? Man, I love the guy out of the backfield, sure handed, and he had a nice run. WTF ?

Did Kyle just forget him because he has too many jobs to do? I really wonder about that. I am a big kyle fan, but that guy looks Ike he needs a couple assistants for some menial jobs. Could that be?

If that isn't it , did he get in Kyle's dog house? There has to be a reason...so I assume Kyle is just biting off more than he can chew. Any other thots?

Kyle's offense

This link illustrates some of Kyle's favorite concepts. Coaches call concepts and the progressions of these concepts dictates who gets the ball. These concepts are run with various personnel groups and formations. It's not necessarily calling plays for Juice it would be calling a concept that had him in a position up the progression. As a FB, I think what is referred to as "follow" in the article (I call it Texas, because that's what it was in Walsh's WCO) will be a big play for Juice when everything gets rolling.

Also the article show Power O as a big run for Kyle. Well the playaction of off the power O is what Gruden calls Spider Y Banana. The thing about this play is that the FB is usually open 90% of the time. I could see this being a big Juice play.

Patience is a virtue here...it takes time to get this stuff installed and I want no one but Kyle installing it. Let's see how it all looks by the end of the season.

Can't tell if we're hypocrits or hypotheticals

In the NFL, there is a such thing as progression in a game plan . Certain playcalls only work when other playcalls are working. I highly doubt the team is running the entire playbook.

Some complain cus we only sign the free agents that are available rather than the top 3 at their position under contract with another team lol but then we sign a top FA and off lynch you suck overpay more!
