Lead blocking is his primary job. Hard to see his effectiveness when the line let's posing defenses into the back field so fast. I think we will see more of his pass catching when we improve the line, and now that we have a QB that can execute. Next year I believe we will see more out of him.

bottom line is...

NO ONE is arguing that he's a good player, a good FB even, but the fact that we gave him too much... Bruce Miller was doing the same blocking, but just did not get enough calls from the HarBaalke era..

He lead blocked, caught passes, and converted on a 3rd & 1 rush - all in one game. That's three tricks. Ponies are quality animals. You can trust them with your kid. Yes, he's overpaid.

Bruce went down in flames so what we paid him is irrelevant. I think we will end up seeing far more from Juice than we have so far. And when we signed him our organization was climbing out of the gutter. You have to pay more for an FA to join a team like that.
