The way I used the word "mismatch" is referring to Bluesbro asking why Juice a mismatch for Hoyer, not Juice being a mismatch against a defense. When the 49ers have a lead, or not trailing by a lot, that's when Juice is most effective. The 49ers having a lead did not happen often with Hoyer/CJ. That's why Juice was more effective with Jimmy, because with Jimmy the 49ers were leading, or close on the scoreboard.

That almost looks like he's running a seam route from a TE split🤔. I wonder if we will see him shifted out even more this year. That allows you to unravel coverage and attack and still stay in base personnel packages.

This was my first thought upon seeing this video earlier. If Jimmy and Jus can click on this route, it'll add a nice option from base packages.

We learned about variety out of personnel packages from Walsh. Make every play look the same, until it doesn't. Keep 'em guessing. I don't know why it lost favor for a while there.

It's funny, I called it base personnel.... however, the league as a whole only runs 21 personnel 7% of the time now. We did lead the league in what was traditional base personnel at 28% of the time. 11 personnel has taken over the league as its ran 59% of the time. Part of me thinks, Kyle is trying to buck the trend and feature 21 personnel more and more. It could be a way to exploit defenses and having a guy like Juice is vital in trying to accomplish this.
