That's not really his strength. That and his increasing number of concussions doesn't lend itself for that.

Pass catcher all the way.

TE2 / H-back
That's my FB!

He has averaged 22 yards from scrimmage per game as a 49er.

I am hoping they use him as a weapon a lot more this year. Spread it around a bit.

His yards just don't matter. If a D treats him like a RB in the backfield, or a TE lining up inline or a WR when he goes out wide, then he won't have many yards, though others will have better matchups.

He gives us an extra layer, and the minute they treat him like a FB he dominates.

I've said it earlier but a guy who can line up out wide and torch a LB one play, and stone Khalil Mack in pass pro the next is a valuable one.

The 49ers didn't have a 500 yard wide receiver and led the league in qb hits allowed.
I was expecting Rathman or Bar None level production...actually more considering the lack of weapons around him the past two years.

I don't think this play has been talked up enough. 1v1 on an island Vs the best pass rusher in the league with a 2 way go.

There aren't many TACKLES in the league who could make that block, and this is a guy who can also run routes and beat LB's.
funny how people whined like crazy about paying juice all that money for a fb, especially the dumbasses over at better rivals.

Better rivals is straight up analytical/PFF to the point of annoying....if they had it their way we'd draft 7 DBs
Juice is great and now that he just got married, he will become the stuff of legend like brother George Kittle!

It was just obvious that paying juice a lot of money wasn't going to hamstring us in the long term, so who f'n cares what he got in '17 & '18. Our offense is greatly benefited by having him.
