Yes it was like the first play of the game

That's what I'm thinking to. I think Kittle will be out at least the next 2 games
It'll be sad if he can't play this game or the Arizona game but I'd rather get him healthy for the last few games of the season and playoffs.

Yeah, rather have him ready for the stretch run - then risk him having a setback trying to play.
IF the guy is not close to being 85%, I say sit him down.. we'll also find out more about our other TEs when called upon.

GO NINERSSSSS !!!
If we want that trophy, we've got to have him in the playoffs.

With Joe and maybe Mike and Juice back, Jimmy's going to have more time to get Sanders and others farther up field, and we'll get that average run gain back up. Defense and WR's are going to need big games, and Jimmy needs to not force balls into double coverage.

Worst case, a loss ties us with NO for the top seed, and that's going to hinge on our game with them either way.

I think we can win this game without Kittle. Seattle's defense is not that tough. Kyle can plan accordingly, and we will still score. If we lose, I still think we can get a first round bye. If we lose Kittle, I don't think we win the SB.

Kyle and Lynch have already discussed this with Kittle. Kittle won't play unless he's cleared by doctors AND he feels he can go. He may play a limited number of snaps but in any instance Kyle will scheme guys open, TE's and WR's, in Kittle's stead to give the Chickens same look with different personnel

Well it's not just tying us with NO. It makes Seattle 8-2 and us 8-1. We have a one game lead but that gives them the tie breaker over us (at this point). It makes the NO, BALT &packers game that much more meaningful and with MO/BAL on the road back to back. Those are games we could potentially lose both.

Losing the game against the Seahawks this week really makes our playoff position much much harder
Winning this game probably gives us the NFC West, losing it probably gives it to Seattle.

This is probably going to be our biggest game this season and we need to be full strength.

Given a choice of will he play or should he play, the answer is in the replay picture of that hyperextension of the knee , after which i thot he might just have torn everything, MCL, ACL, PCL, LCL. If the leg had just hung there, I wouldn't have been surprised.

I would bet anything we do not know the full extent of his injury. Partial tears are a possibility, but to bend the knee that far off the vertical...nothing good could have come from that. Obviously I' didn't look at his MRI, but one look there tells the entire tale. If partial tear, or certainly at minimum severe stretching of his ligaments, i would prefer to rest him until he heals and hope to get him back in a month or so.

With Dwelley, Toilolo, and then Au jus , joe, and mc G back, we should be okay for blocking. If he is 'partially injured' i would rest him til healed up for later in the yr.

Yes i am aware how badly we want to beat SEA, but long term is a better way to look at his injury.

Is this a massive game, up 3 on Seattle and LA after week 10 would put SF in the drivers seat to win the NFC west. Our schedule doesn't get easier it gets harder from here on out.

If it's a pain issue give him a magic shot and let's go...if it's something that can get much worse if he plays then probably gotta sit him.

I'd be more than fine to have him out there in certain packages in a limited fashion.
I'll be more than surprised if Kittle does not play Monday night. He knows the offense and does not need to practice. He ran around like a raped ape for the NFL network after the game and has since then had 12 days off.
Honestly, there's every chance this team doesn't even make the playoffs if they lose this one. This is a bad year to be in the NFC West.
With the Seahawks and the revived Rams, 11-5 might miss the playoffs.

You look at the team's schedule, there's still @ Baltimore (almost a guaranteed loss), @ New Orleans (another nearly guaranteed loss), and @ Seattle (you know the deal with this one). Then add in a revived Rams team with Jalen Ramsey, and the Packers...look out.

And if Kittle can't go in this one, who's to say he can even go vs. AZ? There are no guarantees at this point. This team could very easily finish 9-7.
