I honestly wouldn't mind him sitting out this one. If it means getting to 100% health going forward , let's do it.

Totally+++. Keep our eyes on the prize. This aint no superbowl.

This is probably the biggest game of the year. This is our super bowl

Obvious trolls are obvious.

At least act like ScaredSkittle does. Most realize that he's a lower candadian troll too, but at least his chicken little routine is amusing. You are a bad troll, and you should feel bad.

I saw your earlier response and it's a completely fair argument. This game could allow us to separate from the pack.

Kittle is an absolute warrior. I'm just scared that he'll end up getting hurt badly. His injury history is extensive to say the least. Never played a full season in college. Nor did he his rookie year. Last year was his first full a season and he killed it. His 6th year of ball was the first time he made it through a full season. Now he's pretty banged up and we're totally rolling the dice here. We've seen all the warning signs.

His playing is listed as Doubtful. MRI said no serious damage. It is really up to George and how he feels on the day. When there aren't tears usually it is just swelling and strained ligaments that make it sore. It can be massaged out to a degree and you can take anti inflammatories to get rid of the swelling. 11 days should be enough to let it rest but it is an individual thing and up to George.

Maybe Kyle is foxing about him playing so Pete wont scheme for Kittle as much? Who knows? I bet Kyle doesn't start him but puts him in at an opportune point in the game just to play with Pete's and Wilson's heads. That is what I would do, even for just one play.

I too am worried he can aggravate the injury and be out the rest of the year. If he's not 100% don't play him. We need him for the stretch run - Dwelley can fill in and do a good job for now.

Winner
Kittle is gonna play. Everything we heard all week is him not having any serious damage. Kyle sneaks him in during second half if he doesnt start in a close game. If we start walking these pussies out of the park theres no need for Kittle to play.

I'd rather sit him the next two games and have him at 100% versus the Packers at home.

This is partially why I was originally mocking a top TE last year. Not just the dynamics of having two dominant TE's who can do everything but in case one should go down.
They won't risk further injury. If this is just a matter of pain management he will probably try and play but there is no way he should be out there if it's something that he could make worse and end up missing several games or the rest of the season.
Kyle: "At the end of the season, there's only one happy team, and I've never been happy yet...We don't want to mess this up". Wonder what he's thinking.

Let's look the facts that we know.

If we were to drop a game for lack of Kittle, we'd have a better chance of surviving that now than in the playoffs.

We will face much tougher defenses later in the season and in the playoffs than now.

The MRI shows damage in two separate areas in his knee and two more in his ankle. My interpretation is that MRI visible damage almost certainly equates to weakness and therefore a higher probability for further injury., and with four separate damaged areas, the chances of that being a danger is almost astronomical.

We have good chances of getting back any of Staley, McGlinch, Juice, Spoon, Celek, Goodwin and Spoon. I think Kyle and Saleh can do something with that.

Kyle has a long history of putting his players into situations they can handle. Hell, we won with RGIII, and where is That guy now. That was the polar opposite of what he wanted to do, and with all of his tools, he can play within his system now.

E Sanders has now had another 11 days to learn the offense and work with Jimmy.

Our D line is healthy, and we should now have Three top corners. That gives a good chance to collapse the pocket on Wilson.

We are Still six and a half point favorites to win this game, and I have yet to detect any inside information the Zone has that the rest of the world doesn't have.

Opinion: I think Kyle knows he's not going to risk Kittle tomorrow, but just like he likes to get linebackers looking where the ball is not going, he's doing the same to Pete. It Is important to win this game, and I think we will, without Kittle. Have a little Faith, Faithful. Kyle has given you plenty of reason to believe in him, and no reason not to. There's plenty of ways to skin a cat, and Kyle has plenty of sharp knives still in his drawer.

Go Niners!

I think Jusczick can take some or most of the TE routs that Kittle runs, if Kittle is out on Monday.

Absolutely great post! I believe in Kyle leading this team to a win no doubt

Yeah, Juice is the next best option. Man, if we can get through this game without Kittle, then we are a scary team.
It's MM...so...

If we lose this game because we don't have Kittle, then we have more serous problems and bigger needs to address.

The fate of our team shouldn't be in the hands of a Tight End or anyone not named Jimmy G. Period.

I expect Shanny to scheme around the loss of Kittle. He's shown he can scheme around anything this season.
