Eh, so odds are no Kittle again. I didn't think he would practice this week, but there is just something about this injury that spikes my pessimism

You've been right on it, Polka - definitely a 4-6 week injury. Wouldn't be surprised if it goes 6 weeks.

if it's a bone bruise, you're looking at around 3-4 weeks.
"Game Day decision"...the kiss of death.
Shanahan has found a loophole in the mandatory NFL injury reporting

I know, this makes me cringe. Three very good 8-2 teams in a row without our best offensive player. Not good.

I don't know why they didn't just come out and say he'd be out 4-6 weeks. All these weekly reports is a bunch of bull s**t.

Exactly. That's why he hasn't stepped foot on the practice field since then, so we know it's not minor. It obviously looked anything but minor on the replay too. Ultimately, we need to make whatever the best decision is for the team going forward.

They wouldn't do this if he was at risk for cartilage injury.

Kittle sitting up in the booth during games and not on the sidelines is very telling.

I'm no Dr. and didn't sleep at a Holiday Inn last night, but quick reading suggests that is a best case scenario. Couple that with the fact Kittle is an absolute warrior, and there is just something inside me that feels like this injury is much more serious than being let on. That is PURE SPECULATION on my part, but it's been my feeling since the injury was first announced and it's not like KS is doing anything to quell my anxiety

I know OTC said he hadn't stepped foot on a practice field, but that isn't accurate. He was on a side field last week doing rehab work. It sounds like he is doing / did the same type of stuff today.

They just didn't want him standing for 3 hours is what they said.

That is correct. This is obviously improvement. I suspect they will ramp up his rehab workload each day this week and see how the knee responds. I don't see the value in having him practice.
