At least there is now confirmation that Kittle in fact does still have two legs.
And presumably a head

No idea what Kyle is up to with this. I kind of think Kittle gave him a Jerry Rice 1997/T.O. 2004 type of, "I'll return from what is usually a season ending injury" type of guarantee, and Kyle is just going with it.

seems too early to make that assessment.

He's not practicing so it's probably likely.

I'm no Dr. and didn't sleep at a Holiday Inn last night, but quick reading suggests that is a best case scenario. Couple that with the fact Kittle is an absolute warrior, and there is just something inside me that feels like this injury is much more serious than being let on. That is PURE SPECULATION on my part, but it's been my feeling since the injury was first announced and it's not like KS is doing anything to quell my anxiety

I think he plays this week. I think they sat him out the last 2 weeks so he'd play sunday night.

he is our most important player come playoffs time
I would sit him all he needs, except if we are at risk of missing the postseason altogether (say we lose next 2 and rams win both)
Originally posted by ColorMeBaddFan:I would look at it a bit differently -- Kittle is the best player we have on the offensive side of the ball and he's probably the best TE in the league. He's only 26 and by all accounts he's a terrific player in the locker room.
The team was 8-0 after the Arizona game and Kittle must have suffered some swelling and possibly some other problems after that game and the week after. I'm not sure he could have played at all in the Seattle game and perhaps he would have suited up against Arizona had it been a playoff game. As it stands, this team is overwhelmingly likely to make the playoffs even if Kittle doesn't suit up for the remainder of the regular season. Having Kittle for the playoffs is more important than seeding, not to mention having him healthy over the next 4-5 years.
I'm not sure if this is the choice -- Choice A is playing Kittle so we can get the #1 seed but not having him in the playoffs as a result or Choice B is resting Kittle so he's 100% for the playoffs but we end up as a wild card team, then I go for B. We can't win the NFC or Super Bowl without Kittle, we can win the NFC and Super Bowl if we're a wild card with a healthy Kittle.

Injuries suck...
