How do you know it was a deep knee bruise lol. You have no clue what the injury was. Could be a sprain. Could be hyperextended. Who the f**k knows

I heard Kittle had his leg amputated. We just didn't notice because he's been using his third leg as a replacement.

Not sure how in the world he plays even if it's a hairline fracture. Especially the ankle but he wouldn't be out there if not medically cleared. I still don't like it.

Hairline fractures themselves generally heal in 4 weeks. It has been 3.5

The human body can only physically heal itself so fast. Not fully healed means still some percentage of still being fractured. Still fractured means greater risk than there otherwise would be. There's no way around that fact.

Part of me feels like willful negligence is almost worse than ignorance when it comes to playing guys with injuries.

Kittle is a beast but he's still human. I'd rather give him that one extra week to protect him and the team long term. I keep in touch with my former colleagues at the orthopedic clinic I used to work at, so I shot a text over to one of the other surgeons about this expressing my concerns and they completely agreed, saying very plainly, "that's too early for a fracture." Straight from the doctors mouth, they would not clear even someone of Kittle's physical makeup to be out there.

Yeah, I hope he's not back too soon - thinking any little thing can aggravate the knee or ankle.

I agree. We need him healthy. Going to be nerve wracking watching him take hits

I am especially concerned due to the fact that we likely will have to pass the ball a lot more again.

Nope! The ankle was an issue before the AZ game, he was questionable in games prior starting with the Rams because of it

The internet has an abundance of information. Not that hard to find injuries on NFL players if you follow reliable people on twitter

It was against the Browns, right? I remember him limping off after a low ankle tackle by a Browns defender.

Schefter reported the fracture occurred in the Halloween game. It's possible he was dealing with a sprain since the Browns game but it got hit wrong again and turned into an avulsion fracture where the ligament eventually got pulled so much that it pulled off a fragment of the bone when he got hit in Arizona.
