After last night's game, George Kittle is now averaging 3.30 receiving yards per pass route run. Not only does that lead all TEs, it's the highest of any skill position player (2nd - Tyreek Hill 2.97) #49ers #thepeoplestightend

Yeah. It wasn't a bone bruise. https://t.co/tChaIkyRbj pic.twitter.com/FrJjaWmdWI
Where is that Aj dude at? He was getting hella mad at me because I said we didn't know what the injury was... I think you were backing him NC.
My point was folks saying it was a bruise were just guessing. It wasn't a bruise

Kyle Shanahan said George Kittle's knee injury was a "popped capsule." Said the knee is probably more of a concern for Kittle re-injuring than the bone, which he described as like "shaved tree bark" but is stable and can't be made worse #49ers
— Jake Hutchinson (@hutchdiesel) November 25, 2019
Shaved tree bark, yeah that sounds like a textbook avulsion fracture.
So it's not a bruise?
On the knee when Shanahan said "popped capsule, or whatever that means" -- he's almost certainly referring to the bursa sac.
Than you... Just curious because a poster got pissed at me in this thread yesterday because he was certain Kittle had a bruised knee, even though everyone was guessing. And it wasn't a bruise after all lol
By the time the playoffs roll around, Kittle should be 100% healed from these issues if none are aggravated. I suffered the same ankle injury Kittle did when I was playing football and got my foot caught in a divot running a deep in route. I finished the rest of the game thinking I just sprained it before it swelled up and got all bruised later that night. I was running again at 4 weeks, mostly pain free by about 6 weeks.
Hell yeah, OTC! Ride this team for number six!!!

Probably faster, but he also didn't have a ball in his arms. Way easier to get to full speed when you can use both arms.

They left off Rogers exit time.

- #49ers created 135 — ONE HUNDRED THIRTY FIVE — yards after catch. Shanahan/Garoppolo are in sync when SF gets that much YAC.
- Garoppolo's passer rating when he targeted Kittle or Deebo: 158.3 or perfect.

2. Kittle exits with an injury in the 4th quarter vs. Arizona...Niners punt twice and the Cards nearly come back.
3. Niners lose a tight game to Seattle. No Kittle.
4. Niners squeak by Arizona who show's no respect for the pass and the run game craps out. No Kittle.
5. Kittle returns along with the Niners utter domination of GB.
All you guys think alike #3436 and I hope it comes true :)

I hope he sits week 17 because we locked up the first round bye. But your scenario is more reasonable.

He's going to be extra motivated.
You're right if we don't need the last game well I hope we rest everyone to be safe. but if it comes down to week 17 he will crush it :)

And the CB I believe was running in a straight line while Kittle was heading towards the sideline so it wasn't a straight shot.

That's what I saw in the broader field end-zone camera replay.

Agreed. This game was Exhibit A for why he's so important even when he's not putting up numbers.
