Most important player on our offense...just wowed by this guy every week. If its not catching TDs and mauling ppl for 20 extra yards...its elite level blocking. easily the best TE in the game and what a great pick by ShananLynch

Kittle should have just picked him up and carried him to the end zone.

He's a diamond find. My understanding is that Iowa had him block more than catch and he didn't have the college production numbers that some of the higher TE picks got, so he was a massive projection from the standpoint of talent evaluation. Kyle is a genius when it comes to TE's and Wr's. Mayo once said he can pick all pros from the Kmart clearance section. I agree.
He had a crappy QB at Iowa.....
Walsh drafted Craig and Rathman out of Nebraska where they were primarily used as blockers and never as receivers out of the backfield. Talk about a school not knowing what they had.

When you hear and see Kittle talk he just looks like a goofy kid. You know the kind that sits around playing video games all day. You would never know how fierce and competitive he is on the field. Maybe he fooled his coaches at Iowa.

Has anyone else floated the "Furious George" nickname?
I heard it over the weekend & I think it exactly matches the way he plays.
Run Angry.

I mean this is a guy who goes to WWE events with the title belt on his shoulders. Wouldnt be surprised if he pulls a Gronk and spears someone at the next Wrestlemania.

If it was Kittle with the ball in his hands trying to get around Bosa some how I feel like Kittle would get the best of him with a big stiff arm

I like George "the Animal" Kittle. He is a big wrestling fan so it does make sense.

To be fair he was behind two other 1st round TEs at Iowa and was the best blocker of the bunch. Dont think he fooled any of his coaches but was just isolated to what they knew he did the best out of those 3. (TJ, Kittle and Fant)
These situations happen every so often and while not trying to compare any futures it reminds me of that Arkansas back field back in the late 2000's with McFadden, Hillis and Felix Jones. McFadden was the most hyped/talented but considered a bust, Hillis had the best single season of the three and Jones ended up looking like he would be the most successful/productive before they all flamed out. Injuries and situations all played a part but my point being that the 2 less hyped/known RBs from that backfield ended up having similar success/notoriety as the one that was a heisman candidate.
