Travis Kelce has 93 targets in 10 games this season. Check out these position splits for Travis Kelce this season. Inline- 25.6%, slot- 43.1% and out wide- 31.1%. How can he even be considered a TE at this point?
Now that's how you feature a dominant pass catching TE!
Okay. Those splits say he is a WR. I am curious to know what Gonzalez, Sharpe, Gronk and Gates splits were throughout their careers compared to Kelce.
I know, I'm just playing. With our formula, Kittle needs to be more balanced as an actual TE.
That would be fun to break down but like here, you gotta kind of take the offensive philosophy into account and passing volume too.
The TE position is one of the main reasons why I use efficiency stats instead of accumulative stats to judge players. I am not saying Kelce isn't a great player. He obviously is. My point is that he gets more recognition than Kittle only because of the system he plays in.
