And Kelce has shown way more durability that Kittle throughout their careers.

Yeah WRs don't get injured near as much

He certainly doesn't block like Kittle, but is a way better receiver than Kittle, that's the reality. In the end idf*g about Kelce. I just want Kittle on the field, but the dude always has an injury.

I disagree that he's way better hell I disagree that he's the better receiver period Kittle was breaking records with Beatherd & Mullins at QB, I'd imagine Kittle would put up pretty similar numbers to Kelce in that offense with Mahomes at QB, it's all about how they're used.

Kittle doesn't even have as close to as many targets or receptions but if he did he would blow Kelce out of the water. (Like you said with Mullen's Beathard and company he broke the yardage record). He is better at getting yards after the catch, he is a lot faster and he is way more explosive. Kelce has nothing on Kittle except for a better quarterback that throws to him a lot more in an offense that makes him the primary receiver

So you are basically saying Kiltle is better than Kelce, but we don't see the production because Kyle doesn't use him as a pass catcher enough. Interesting perspective, but definitely a valid argument.

Do you think he is being used wrong? He is a great blocker, and Kyle loves that, but I do believe he is often schemed to help the o-line because they need the help, but that does take away from his pass catching opportunities. I get annoyed to as it's almost to a fault, knowing how good George has been in the passing game years past.

Do I think Kittle could be better than Kelce? I would say talent wise yes, but there are two realities that makes this not true as of today imo.

1. He has no where near the injury history of Kelce. His durability isn't exactly a surprise, because of the way Kittle plays, but it's the truth.

2. Kittle is in an offense that hasn't utilized his pass catching abilities like KC has always done with Kelce. Kelce is an absolute miss match nightmare who runs fantastic routes, and know where to find openings to help his QB. Reid uses this every chance he gets. The only thing stopping Kelce is age and if he starts getting hurt (like this week, but so far for him that's a fluke). KC's offense is built around him.

Now having Kittle out there opens up the passing game big time. We saw Purdy LOVED Kittle last year, certainly compared to Jimmy G. So hopefully he gets healthy fast and we can see some serious production from him this year.

Nice breakdown Cisco. Yes I was definitely saying that. Kittle was all world when he broke the all time record with horrendous qb play but at least he was targeted a lot bc we were behind in many games. I just wish we featured Kittle more or had a top 10 qb throwing to him in the past.

Now we do imo (the top 10 qb part at least) but CMC Deebo and Aiyuk will always make Kittle a lot less targeted then he should be. As well as Kittle being an essential part of the running game and pass blocking

To me, it should really depend on matches. Against teams with poor coverage linebackers and safeties, we should be utilizing CMC, Kittle, and Juiice more with Deebo and Aiyuk catching an occasional pass and more down field blocking, If a team has a poor D-line, then we should be totally unleashing Kittle. Use him as a receiver all game long and he could go off like he did verses Denver in 2018. In a game like today, I expect Kittle to be used A LOT in run support and pass protection. It really should vary based on the opponent. But I would think with this approach, Kittle could have the monster 100+ yard game here and there that he is capable of.

On another note, for the reasons already noted, we have got to find a guy that can be a monster as a blocker (in both the pass and run game), but also a decent pass catcher. I only ask for decent because any TE that is even good will likely be over drafted. We need a guy that will be aailable in the 4th round. It's interesting with all of the TEs that have gone in the 1st - 3rd rounds the last 5 or so years, but when you look at the TE tiers, there is Kelce, there is Kittle, and then it falls off a cliff after that. No one is even in those guys zip code code IMO.
That Little Ceasers commercial though

He looked really off. Maybe rust?

I haven't got to watch his blocking yet.
