Would it matter? It seems the NFL is capable of disciplining for "off the field " issues as well

It would to me because Kittle is usually pretty respectful so I'd be surprised if he did it before the game started lol.... I thought he had done it at the end or towards it atleast ...

Philly is the #1 target right now. That's who we need to pound to get to the ship.

And if Parsons was ticked off, I understand. That doesn't mean that the Cowboys could beat the 49ers the next time -- that's ridiculous. But if Kittle really did that, grow up. And I want to tell you something else. If one of Bill Walsh's players, Walsh would say, 'Go in the locker room and change your shirt. We don't go down to this level. Change your shirt or don't play in the game.' I know it. I've seen it. Wouldn't happen."
Grant and his dad are f**kin losers. This article was embarrassing and cringey.
Lowell Cohn is a renowned 49ers reporter who covered them throughout their dynasty. He knew Bill Walsh personally, and he's almost certainly correct about how Walsh would have reacted. It's probably a generational thing, but I agree with him. That said, after hearing Kittle's response I also see both sides of it. He basically doing outlandish WWE-esque banter, and I know that sells today.
But one more thing to consider… I know the 49ers are hands down better than the Cowboys, but the cliché "any given Sunday" has been proven true time and time again. The 49ers seem invincible now but no one is literally unbeatable. Why give them locker room material?

we knocked them 2x out of the playoffs in last 2 years there is no more locker room material than that this shirt is a non story

Sure he might've known BW and would have known how he would've reacted. But IMO if you're going to comment on Kittles shirt, he should also comment about Gary Plummer wearing that shirt since that's where the idea came from. He probably didn't even write about it when he covered the team.

Yeah that's the take. If these guys are more hurt by mean words on a shirt than getting their rear ends beat repeatedly...maybe that's why they can't hang

I saw the shirt deal as Kittle paying homage to the rivalry and Plummer. Kittle is a nice guy, not mean-spirited, he meant no offense. Normally, I'd think it's foolish to provide any further motive to any team, especially with such a massive target on their backs because of good they are. But this team has been good for awhile, has so much character, they've earned the right to just go out there and do their thing. As a fan, with this team, I just sit back and enjoy the ride

That's a fair point. Side note, IMO this "rivalry" doesn't hold a candle to the 90's. Both sides traded blows for Superbowl rings. This is just the 49ers knocking them out of the playoffs a couple times (and not getting a ring), then curb stomping them in the regular season.

I think Kittle has been the heart of the team for many of years now. He's still the best TE In the league too Imo.
