They are both way overpaid, but Kelce helps his team win super bowls.

Is Kittle being under utilized or has he lost a step or two?

Some guys are not overpaid. CMC is underpaid. Kittle is not overpaid. Have Kittle hit the FA market, and see what happens.

Let 31 other teams bid Kittle up, and see what happens, he would be making the same or more

this is Vikings week we are facing the highest paid TE in football, Hockenson, he better than Kittle?
tired of having elite guys, and hearing our own fans say they are overpaid, you want elite talent or not?

Yea the rest of the league is just tripping over one another to give Robbie Gould a $5 million per year contract. Sometimes guys are only valued by their team.

No one said Kittle wasn't a good player, just overpaid.

He ain't overpaid, making money doesn't mean you are overpaid, Mahomes is underpaid, if you ask me, it's about market value, on the market Kittle would get just as much if not more

Kittles' not overpaid... he's just under-used similar to Juice... Deevah's overpaid.. Hurt's overpaid.. he got the money and he's not even a GREAT player yet..

Agreed. He's not overpaid. He can be great when he's specifically schemed for. See the Dallas game where we exploited their lbers in coverage.

He's the best at blocking and top 5 hands at the te spot.

Purdy sees the field a lot better than Jimmy did and works the sides a lot more. Kittle is usually in the middle of the field so obviously this is going to lead to a drop in usage.

THE problem with Grappy is he places a time clock in his head that he drops back feeling the need to get rid of the ball asap instead of allowing the play to develop.. Grappy would be a better passer if he plays in an offense where he is asks to drop deeper than the usual WCO.. he'll be similar to Aikman or Bulger had he been in an offense that does that.

B-ROCK STEADY PURDY however is a QB with a limited arm strength but knows how to read and knows where to throw the football. The Browns game was just too bad because it shows that he'll have a hard time playing in a bad weather especially around January..

He's still the best tight end in football, because it's not a very strong era for true TEs (Kelce's a system fraud who never actually beats coverage, and he doesn't block), but he's way overpaid.

Can't throw it to himself. His "decline" is either Shanny not featuring him or the QB not targeting him

This. Cleveland games, Philly games, etc ( teams with strong running games and defense overall or a great pass rush) seem perfect to feature Kittle, Juice, and Mason. Control the game with running, screens, and short to mid passes. In the old days, most of the offense went through Jerry, but on some occasions Craig and Rothman were more of the featured players.
I totally understand his role on the team, how selfless, and how great of blocker he is, but that is all still at the expense of him catching the ball, which imo he's deadly at. I hope he has a monster game tonight. Kyle needs to make it a point to feature him more in the passing game.

I've often posted how Rathman had a 72 if not a 72 yard season (repeat year) while we still had JR-JT-BJ-RG... how was that possible especially that WALSH was not even our HC?

THAT'S FREAKIN 72 catches for a FB !!

it's also a HEAD SCRATCHER as to how often KELCE gets the ball while The Best Young Mind in Football comes away w/a BIG WIN but for our own 85 to only have 3 catches..

AS great a blocker he is, I think the team will benefit if he catches and make plays more often.. if we wanted a GREAT BLOCKING TE to help the offense even more, then we shoulda have drafted an undersize OT that can be converted into a TE. Instead, we have 3 pass catching TEs that aren't being used because they aren't good at blocking...

we also drafted a RB in the 3rd and do not use the rookie because he can't block.. did we not do our homework on this guy?

Stop always using him to block to hide a deficient offensive line. He's paid $20m a year to also be an explosive down field threat. That hardly ever happens...

EXACTLY...

What stupid team would FEAR Kittles when they see him BLOCKING instead of running routes..

He was used way too much to help against Cleveland's pass rush and with Trent hobbled. With National tight ends Day and the commercial they shot, I'm m expecting him to show up big tonight.

He is a GADGET player. 1/3 OT 1/3 FB 1/3 TE
He better be featured in the passing game today.

I hope so... and not just because he's on my fantasy team.
As the Patron Saint of Tight Ends Day, I beseech you, Furious George, to light up the scoreboard tonight.
