Had Iowa beaten Iowa State, Brock Purdy would've had to do what George Kittle did here. That was the bet. Kittle wanted to put a dark visor on Purdy's helmet, but Purdy said no pic.twitter.com/5161GKi8cP

Penta is rumored to be joining WWE. They'll definitely do something together on screen. That's who he got his 'no fear' hand sign from.

#49ers TE George Kittle (hamstring) sounds like he expects to return on Sunday against the Patriots. Says he's "very excited to play football" and "feeling fantastic."

I just want more big Kittle games. He's so unselfish. I love when he gets 100 yard and/or multiple TD games.

Crazy how modern athletes cant stop getting hurt, even if they're only in their early 20's. Because of the NFLPA the NFL offseason has gotten so soft. Everyone gets extra rest, and camp is mostly no pads, and there are no more two-a-days. Aaron Rodgers was talking about how hard camp used to be when he started. Joe Staley has mentioned it too. With all the money on the line now teams baby the players, but it just results in bodies that aren't prepared for 17 games of abuse. Plus they rarely let anyone play through injuries like they used to.
Players are also bigger, faster, stronger and playing more games than back in the day. We have also gotten smarter about injuries instead of just getting a hit a smelling salts and saying you got your bell rung. Soft tissue injuries I can sort of agree it's from the league being "soft".

Exactly. You have 230-300+ lb men running faster than ever before. Lots of violent conditions. Add in your points about more games and less rest between games, some of the fields they play on, etc.
And to that original poster, players play through injuries all the time. Some players would still play through concussions if that power to decide hadn't been taken away from them.
I wish the NFLPA drew a harder line about that 17th game, the amount of Thursday games, field conditions, and expansion of rosters than two a days and no pads. But the former is low hanging fruit that doesn't affect the bottom line.
