967 yard receiving and 8 TDs to date. 15th overall in the league in receiving yards and 2nd overall for TEs (literally 100 yards behind Brock Bowers).

And he's missed a game not only that he gets way less targets than any of the elite tight ends in the league. He would shatter every single TE record known to man if he just got targeted like Gronkowski Kelce, or any other great tight end.

To add context to your point :

Bowers targets : 137
Kelce targets : 122
Kittle targets : 83

Exactly and it's been like this almost every single year. The only year he got targeted quite a bit was the year. He broke the all-time record for yards. Shanahan has to realize this. Damn

It's so hard to find loyal dude like Kittle. I see a 4 year extension coming which will help with cap relief
Kittle is going nowhere. He brings in a ton of money to the organization due to his clown and comical ways. Fans love him. Media loves him. He is a money machine. Not time yet for George to exit.

He might be the face of the franchise.

"I said it yesterday, I want to be a Niner for my entire career," Kittle said. "I love wearing the Red and Gold. And, whatever the front office wants to do, I'm all ears." -----Kittle

I hope someday I'm watching a 40 year old Kittle catching TD's for SF. One of the greatest 49ers ever already.

Reminds me of the speech Duke gave to Apollo Creed before the 2nd fight with Rocky.

I can see him transitioning to more a pass catcher as he ages with less blocking. TE take a beating over their careers.
It's funny how people insist Brock Purdy is a product of a system and the players around him, but they never consider whether or not the players around Brock are products of Kyle's system.

I strongly recommend people go back and watch Garrett Celek in 2017. He was running after the catch just like Kittle. Marquis Goodwin and other receivers were having plenty of success running after the catch as well.

All of this "run after catch" that fans think is so impressive is largely the result of the system they play in.

Kittle is overvalued in my opinion. This is a guy who went to the locker room during a huge drive in the Super Bowl. When has he ever shown up in the postseason?

People are worried about overpaying Brock, but he's playing the most important position.

People should be more worried about overpaying a tight end who doesn't run good routes, gets banged up all the time, and is doing things (run after catch) that aren't as impressive as people think.
