Kittle not getting All-Pro is a joke. Bowers and McBride? 🙄

Bowers is a phenom and deserves All-Pro and RotY could be witnessing the beginning of the greatest TE to ever do it. McBride had a fantastic year kinda hard to throw shade at either selection. Kittle had a great year and I'm sure they wish they had 3 spots

All 3 had very similar yardage, but Bowers only had 5 TD's and McBride had 2. Not sure how Kittle gets left off with 8 TD's.
Classic case of media always trying to hype the fresh face.
Kittle is a great player and a good dude. Look at him checking on and trying to help out the injured Chiefs player

I strongly recommend people go back and watch Garrett Celek in 2017. He was running after the catch just like Kittle. Marquis Goodwin and other receivers were having plenty of success running after the catch as well.

All of this "run after catch" that fans think is so impressive is largely the result of the system they play in.

Kittle is overvalued in my opinion. This is a guy who went to the locker room during a huge drive in the Super Bowl. When has he ever shown up in the postseason?

People are worried about overpaying Brock, but he's playing the most important position.

People should be more worried about overpaying a tight end who doesn't run good routes, gets banged up all the time, and is doing things (run after catch) that aren't as impressive as people think.

Yeah. Garrett Celek was getting YAC. Just like Kittle. Yeah.

Pls change your name already.

I'm sorry, Kittle > Bowers. Bowers had a phenomenal year. However he also had 57 more targets, yet only caught 16 more passes. 16 more catches on 57 more targets? 88 more yards than Kittle with his 16 catches, and 3 less touchdowns, in 2 more games played.

There isn't a metric out there that says Kittle isn't first team All Pro. He was robbed. Imagine Deebo starts the season catching 16 passes on 57 targets. Or any other receiver/tight end for that matter. Bogus.
How has George Kittle gone in Superbowls?

Ah, not so well.

Uh, instead of replying with stupid s**t like this, you could try actually looking it up. I don't blame you for forgetting, but I blame you for talking out your ass.

Celek had 175 RAC yards on 21 catches in 2017. That's 8.3 RAC yards per reception, which is higher than Kittle has ever had.

21 catches is a small sample size. If he has twice that, like Kittle did in his rookie year, Celek's rate goes down.

And I thought I saw this dude saying essentially that all these myriad stats are overrated and that the "eye" test is what matters most. Well McFly, here is your "eye" test with the most fundamental of stats;

Eight seasons, 82 rec, 1,104 yds, 12 tds, and out of the league

vs

Eight seasons, 538 rec, 7,380 yds, 45 tds, and still going strong

At no point did I say Celek is as good as Kittle.

The point is that people are overvaluing him, just like they overvalue all of the skill guys on this team.

People forget that Jimmy got his new contract throwing to almost entirely a group of guys who aren't even on this roster anymore, and whom nobody would describe as "weapons."

Skill guys have been overvalued for a long time in football. People always gave running backs way too much credit. Wide receivers, aside from some occasional freak athletes, get too much credit. Very few of these guys are nearly the difference makers they are portrayed as.

The caliber of offensive linemen themselves have very little to do with the effectiveness of any part of an offense.

Football is driven by schemes, and, on offense, the quarterback, who runs the scheme.

A reasonable contract for Kittle is fine, but fans are going overboard with this stuff about him being on the team for however many seasons, or being some kind of huge difference making player.
