Maybe because he does literally everything else exceptionally well. Or because he was a 5th rd pick a season ago? He's on pace to have one of the best seasons ever for a 49er tight end. But let's harp on his only flaw.

Bruh nobody said he didn't do other things well. Nobody said he's a bad player. The last thing he did today was drop an easy pass. I cant call anybody a hater for pointing that out. It isn't harping. I'd say he's the best player they have drafted but that doesn't dismiss his mistakes.

Kittle might turn out to be the best all around TE the team has had in decades. He is nimble and quick, blocks adequately and is fast enough to threaten down the field. He is the anti-VD in that he is much more natural in the position. Both good athletes but VD had to learn what hands were for.

Also he seems to enjoy contact. Loved Vernon but he never seemed to use his size and strength effectively
