He's been better in yrs past...no one on SF has been good at much last yr lol
I'm glad we got actual competition at the TE spot..,a QB turned TE isn't that imo

Celek was also better than McDonald in yrs past.
Shanahan ran the most 3 TE sets w 1 RB last year ( league average 2%, Kyle at 8%). We are gonna need 3 competent TEs......

Kittle said Beathard's a genius in and out of the huddle...pretty high praise. He gives us a viable H-Back we haven't had since Walker...Shanahan will know how to use his speed & receiving skills. He'll be a mismatch vs LB's for sure. Nothing not to like about him.

Shanahan is a speed addict. Kittle will probably be used like DWalker. Put him in the game. If the defense comes with nickel, run the ball. If the defense stays in base, he's a mismatch against LBs/SS.
